Welcome to our beautiful half-timbered house in the center of Hellenthal. Very central location, all things of daily life such as restaurant or grocery stores as well as doctors are within walking distance. You will find a direct entrance to the beautiful trails of the national park at our door. Whether you want to hike or do beautiful laps with the MTB, there is something for everyone. Please note that we are not a hotel but a private accommodation. If you expect sterile cleanliness and absolute peace, please refrain from booking! The 1817 half-timbered house does not have the same insulation and noise insulation as well as light flooding as a modern house. We also live directly in the Eifel National Park. If you open the windows to ventilate, for example, spiders, flies, etc. can of course enter the living space (this is called nature). Our place is dog-friendly, so not suitable for allergy sufferers. If you have an animal hair allergy, we are unfortunately not the right provider for you. There is no direct contact with the dog. We are not a hotel, but a private accommodation. The Eifel and explicitly the national park offer a special climate zone, it is generally a bit cooler and more humid. Please note this before your booking request. Also, please note that our house from 1817 does not have the same insulation and noise insulation values as a modern house. There is a washing machine and dishwasher in the apartment - these are not included in the offer! Our hot water boiler in the kitchen always produces 5 liters of hot water, then it takes a moment until it heats another 5 liters. The fireplace in the kitchen can be used after consultation and knowledge, please provide your own wood, our apartment is otherwise heated with infrared. Hot water in the bathroom is generated by an instantaneous water heater, which can be set to the exact temperature. Please note: We live on a very quiet street, but in the immediate vicinity of our half-timbered house there is a beautiful old church that makes corresponding noises. With the window closed, however, you hardly notice it. Due to the timber frame and the wooden floors, it is unfortunately not possible to avoid the fact that someone lives upstairs. Our garden is natural and has a small pond with fish. It is not desirable to disturb the fish or for dogs to use the pond water. What is also important: Upon your arrival, we will need to collect a tourism tax for the municipality of Hellenthal. That's 1.50 euros per person per night. Children up to the age of 14 are exempt. We have a general night's rest that is based on the legal provisions. In the evening from 10 pm until 6 am, we ask you to respect and observe this. Information for dog owners Well-behaved dogs are welcome guests. In the season from approx. October to April, we decide depending on the weather whether we can accommodate dogs (hygienic reasons) We charge a flat rate of 5 euros per dog per night. Please make a request in advance. Guests who would like to visit us with several dogs are asked to send an explicit advance request stating the breeds of the dog, the sex of the dog and the travel experience of the dogs. Important: We cannot accommodate dogs that exhibit territorial behavior.
