State hunting land just down the road and Yankee Springs State Park a short drive away. Walk our trails, savor the gorgeous views, enjoy a campfire, and watch the wildlife. When the snow falls, bring your snowshoes or cross country skis to truly enjoy our property. The space Rest comfortably in 2 queen beds with 700 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. Relax on the sofa or rocking chair. Sit at the table with 4 chairs. Enjoy 2 private bathrooms (one with large tub and one with walk-in shower). Mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig, toaster, and dishes are located in the bathroom that has the tub as it is a large space with additional countertop and cupboards. Playing cards, games, puzzles and books are also provided. Other things to note There is a brick pathway around the house to the private back entrance. These historical bricks are reclaimed from when the roads in Hastings were paved with bricks. The bricks have a tendency to settle so the path is not perfectly even. Please use caution not to trip. You will need to go up two steps onto the deck in order to get to the door. This guest suite shares one wall with the rest of our house and has a locked door that could connect it to our home. This door is always locked from both directions to ensure complete privacy. Our long driveway is paved but we are a short distance down a well maintained gravel road. Although we do provide WiFi, we do not provide a television but rather we encourage guests to use this space as a retreat from the busyness and noise of daily life and to enjoy the peace and quiet found on our property. We hope you enjoy the sights and sounds of nature here in the country. We often see wildlife (deer, turkey, etc.) and hear crickets, frogs, birds, ducks, etc. We try to keep insects to a minimum, but you may also see a few of them. We have tried to supply everything you might need, but don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can help you with.
