The space The main section of our cottage was "delivered" to Grand Marais via rail in 1900, during the lumber boom, courtesy of Montgomery Wards. We have chosen to preserve that history by exposing a portion of the original floor planks in both the living room and master bedroom. Several rooms contain photo's and posters to help us remember friends and family from the mid-20th century. Just a five minute walk east to downtown and swimming at the sandy harbor beach or five minutes north for rock hunting along Lake Superior. Has bikes and kayaks provided. Includes Roku streaming TV, Amazon Echo (Alexa) and blue tooth audio. Guest access Full access to all main level rooms including the (east facing) mud room, which contains grilling utensils, life jackets, kayak dolly and paddles.
