Retro style: own bathroom, aircon + pool & shops!

Cosy bedroom with aircon, own bathroom & balcony. My townhouse has a midcentury modern touch mixed with my love of music. You are welcome to use the kitchen and patio to enjoy the outdoors. I'm off a main road with a steady traffic buzz not too loud! The complex has a pool, tennis court and is a 3 minute walk to shops, restaurants and buses to the city. Airport 25 min drive. I have a friendly indoor cat. **Non smoking home, not indoors or outdoors. **No bookings on behalf of another person. :) The space The bedroom is upstairs with access to a narrow balcony where you can look down into the tropical courtyard and across the townhouses. You may even spot a waterdragon, possum or watch the fruit bats fly past at dusk. The bedroom features: * spilt cycle aircon to keep you cool or warm. * your own private bathroom with a brand new renovated shower and bathtub. (I have my own ensuite). * built-in mirrored wardrobe and large set of drawers. Plenty of storage for suitcases and clothing. * extra pillows both firm and softer ones plus extra blankets if needed. You will be sharing the space with me and my cat Sammy so please be aware in case of fur and animal allergies. I work Monday to Friday so I'm around evenings and weekends. Please be mindful of noise and wear a headset if listening to music/podcast/tv after 9pm - thank you! Check in is 2pm. Check out 10am. NO smoking or vaping is permitted in my home or courtyard. NO bookings on behalf of another person is allowed. Guest access You are welcome to use the kitchen and dining area for making a cuppa, cooking and eating. There is a space in the fridge and pantry for you to place your items if needed. I provide: * tea and instant coffee * milk for beverages * salt & pepper for your use. The lounge has a TV with various apps and unlimited wireless internet access. If you have a laptop or device you can log on to your own apps and watch in the privacy of your own room! Please be aware my townhouse is 2 stories with 9 steps up to the bedrooms and bathroom with a handrail on the left. There are 4 steps down to the kitchen and lounge. If you are driving, there is plenty of visitor parking on either end of my street however, there is no undercover parking. Across the road (3 minute walk) is a shopping centre called the 'Hypermarket' with Coles, Woolies, Aldi, a Chinese grocer 'Sunlit', Kmart and other specialty shops. There are heaps of restaurants and takeaways in the area such as Sushi Train, Thai O'Sha, Yum Cha, the Coffee Club, McDonalds, KFC, Indian, fish and chips and more!! And, services such as doctor, pharmacy and gym all really close. A Westfield shopping centre, in Chermside is a 5-minute drive from my place. If you walk maybe 30 minutes! It has ALL the shops and department stores, cinemas, bowling alley plus great restaurants and cafes. The bus stop is at the Hypermarket shopping centre directly across the road (3 min walk) and will take you: * to the city centre * Roma Street station (trains and buses to Gold and Sunshine Coasts) * Cultural Centre and museums (near Southbank and West End) * QUT To look up the bus timetable look up 'Translink' website and use the journey planner. During your stay As I live in the townhouse I will be around before and after work and on weekends. Please be aware I have to get up reasonably early on weekdays (6am) to start getting ready for work. I am mindful of guests however there will be early morning noise and a cat begging for breakfast! Other things to note My home is cosy and has a lived-in comfy feel to it. I like my retro style and things that have had a life before I found them. Also as mentioned I live in an area with many services and amenities and close to major roads that head to the Sunshine Coast and beyond (easy access for day trips). Also very close to airport within 25 to 30 minute drive. This produces varying traffic noises depending on time of day.
