Relax and reconnect with nature on 4 private acres while at our secluded country getaway. Recently renovated, our home is situated in peaceful wooded surroundings while still being close to all the best Athens has to offer. The "farmhouse" is just a short drive to downtown Athens (5 mile) and the popular restaurants, coffee shops, and music venues that make Athens such a special place to spend time. The space A ranch style home nestled on 4 wooded acres, complete with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, tall ceilings, and forest views from every room create a peaceful environment perfect for a quiet getaway. While the exterior is nondescript, this is a fully renovated house with guest amenities ideal for short or long stays. The house is 70 years old, so it has some quirks such as the kitchen floor being a bit slanted; but that won’t bother you one bit. The furnishings and appliances are brand new. With sleeping space for six (6), there is also a pullout couch that can be made into a queen bed. Conveniently located just 4.7 miles from downtown Athens, the Classic City Convention Center activities, all of the wonderful night spots and restaurants, and of course, all the goings on at the University of Georgia. Bringing more than 2 cars? Please let us know! Parking on the property is for registered guests only. Thank you! Other things to note PRICING- This Airbnb charges PER GUEST. The rate will increase by $35 per person per night after 6 guests. Our base price allows us to offer affordable lodging, while also allowing us to accommodate multiple guests at a competitive rate. Thus, anyone who will be present on the property must be included in your itinerary at the time of booking. Gatherings are not permitted. PRIVACY- This is a free-standing home and is not attached to the host’s home, however, the host does live in a separate house located near property. There are no other units in this cottage; your privacy is assured. KITCHEN- We encourage use of kitchen for light cooking, however, if the kitchen is used, all dishes must be washed, dried, and put away, and all surfaces wiped down after each use and before check-out. Additionally, all garbage and left-over food items must be placed in the kitchen garbage can or a sealed garbage bag. An additional $25 service fee will apply if this house rule is broken. LONG TERM STAYS- For stays longer than 5 days, weekly clean linens are available upon request, but cleaning services/bed making are not provided. Host will collect garbage from front porch upon request. All garbage must be in a sealed garbage bag. HOUSE RULES- There are additional house rules under the house rules tab at the bottom of the listing. We highly recommend that you take a moment to review the entire listing-including the additional house rules as well as the cancellation policies. Remember, upon completion of the booking process, you are agreeing to Airbnb terms of service as well as the listing house rules. SMOKING- Prohibited on this property. There is a $200 penalty for breaking this house rule. Thank you for not smoking during your stay at the Farmhouse. PARKING- Two parking spaces are located in front of the farmhouse. Parking on the property is for registered guests only. We ask that you provide the host with the make and model of all overflow vehicles before your arrival. Bringing a trailer or oversized vehicle? Remember, everyone is doing their best; please be kind when leaving your review. CANCELLATIONS- You are renting an Airbnb with a strict cancellation policy. This Airbnb does not accept trip change requests after the refund window has closed. ACCURACY- We strive for accuracy in our listings. That said, since there is a combo door lock entry, a late arrival is no problem. If arriving late, we do ask that you to keep noise to a minimum.
