The space Welcome to Hummingbird Bungalow – your pet-friendly retreat in St. James! • This spacious 2-bedroom bungalow is perfect for up to 5 guests. • Enjoy all the comforts of home, including a large dining table, roomy outdoor seating, and a fenced backyard that’s ideal for your well-behaved pets to roam and play. • Inside, you’ll find a large-capacity front-loading washer and dryer, lightning-fast Wi-Fi, and smart HEPA air purifiers in the living space and main bedroom to keep the air fresh and allergy-friendly between stays. • Outdoor lights are on a dusk-to-dawn timer, making the bungalow easy to find for late arrivals. • Offering steep discounts for weekly and monthly stays—perfect for extended getaways or work trips! Prime location: • Conveniently located in the heart of St. James, you’ll have easy access to scenic riverways, Meramec Spring Park, Old Route 66, St. James Golf Course, and local wineries. • The home is also within walking distance of St. James High School, making it ideal for families visiting for school events. • Approximate distances: 100 miles from St. Louis International Airport (about 1 hour 45 minutes), 42 miles from Ft. Leonard Wood (about 45–50 minutes), and 120 miles from Springfield, MO (about 2 hours). Check-in/check-out: • Check-in is at 4 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM. • Early check-ins and late check-outs are rarely accommodated. Please book an additional day if you need more flexibility. Important information: • Rental agreement required for stays of 14 days or more. • This home is self-managed, meaning tasks like trash removal are the guest’s responsibility. • The base nightly rate includes up to 2 guests. Each additional guest is $15 per night to cover extra cleaning and laundry costs. • Well-behaved pets are welcome for a $75 fee. Poop bags are provided for your convenience. For their safety, pets must not be left outdoors unattended—even in the fenced yard. If you leave the home, pets must be crated indoors. Pets may roam freely inside while you’re home. • For your safety, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors are installed. • At Hummingbird Bungalow, the heat and hot water run on propane, ensuring a warm and comfortable stay. It’s normal to notice a faint smell near the water heater or furnace during use, as propane systems are designed to operate safely and efficiently. If you ever need assistance, feel free to reach out to us. • Smart HEPA air purifiers (locked to quiet Auto mode) are installed in the main living area and primary bedroom to reduce odors and allergens. • This is a quiet space for relaxing stays. Guest access Entire home Other things to note • Pet-Friendly Stay Well-behaved pets are welcome with a $75 fee. Poop bags are provided — please clean up after your pets and keep them off the furniture to help us maintain the space for future guests. Pets must not be left outdoors unattended, even in the fenced yard. If you leave the home, please crate pets indoors. They’re welcome to roam freely inside while you're home. • Guest-Managed Trash This is a self-managed home. Guests are responsible for trash removal during their stay. A dumpster is located on the property for your convenience. • Propane Heat & Hot Water The home uses propane for heating and hot water. A faint smell near the water heater or furnace is normal. These systems are safe and efficient, but let us know if you ever have concerns. • Gas Grill The BBQ grill is connected to the home’s gas line, so there’s no propane tank. Just turn on the valve near the grill and start cooking! • Air Purifiers for Clean Air We’ve installed Levoit smart air purifiers with medical-grade HEPA filters in the living area and primary bedroom. They run quietly in Auto mode to help reduce odors, allergens, and pet dander between guest stays. • Transparent Pricing We keep cleaning fees low by paying our cleaning crew hourly. The base rate covers up to 2 guests. An extra $15 per night is charged for each guest beyond that to help cover additional cleaning and laundry costs. • Quiet Getaway This is a peaceful space meant for relaxing stays. No parties or events are allowed. • Discounts for Longer Stays Save with discounted weekly and monthly rates — great for remote work or extended getaways. • Rental Agreement A rental agreement is required for stays of 14 days or more. • Safety Features The home is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for your safety. • Check-In/Out Times Check-in is 4 PM and check-out is 10 AM.
