Welcome to The Narrows Resort! Stay in one of 4 rustic 100 yr old cabins on the quiet narrows of Whitestone lake. Enjoy gorgeous views of the water from open concept living or relax on the deck while cooking on the BBQ. Swim off your personal dock or rent a canoe/kayak/paddleboat. Play ping pong in the games cabin on a rainy day. Spend an evening under the stars around the large fire pit. My husband Nigel and I purchased this resort which is home 4 quaint 100 year old cabins on the narrows of Whitestone Lake. If you're looking for a quaint, cozy, and truly unplugged getaway, one of these cute little rustic cabins is for you! This cabin (Cabin 2), is the smallest of the four cabins but is a great place for a couple's getaway. But if you'd like to bring more of the family don't hesitate to see if other cabins are available! This small but cozy cabin houses a bedroom with a queen bed and a dresser to store your belongings. The 3 piece bathroom is fresh and clean. A combined dining/living room with wall to wall windows that overlook the water is the perfect place to eat your meals and watch water flow by. The kitchen is well stocked with many necessities for your cooking and dining needs, but come prepared with all your food and desired condiments. Head out on the attached deck to BBQ or to sit and enjoy the sunshine on the water. Ready for a swim? The cabin is just steps to the waters edge and your private dock. Take a short walk to the Resort's sandy beach and take a dip in the beautiful water. Be sure take a picture with our resident alligator buoy. On rainy days, head into the resort's Game Room to play a round of ping pong, darts, or other games provided. It's a great communal space to hang out, especially if you're renting multiple cabins! The TV in the games rooms connects to the Satellite TV so you won't miss the big game even when on vacation. Across the driveway from the cabins there is a large private grassy park area complete with kid's play structure. Next to that is a fire pit you are welcome to use for nightly campfires to enjoy some s'mores. Firewood is available at the general store in Dunchurch just a 5 min walk across the road. While there is no Wifi available in any of the cabins, there is great cell service. And if you desperately need wifi, there is a public library a 2 min walk away and you are able to connect to it's wifi from the bench in the park. This cozy cabin is available from May-October to enjoy the best that the year has to offer on the water. There is a kayak, canoe, and paddle board on the property available for rent. Or the Dunchurch Marina next door is the perfect place to rent a boat (or bring your own!) to explore Whiestone Lake. Feel free to park the boat on the communal dock, just be sure to let me know! Included: Household Supplies Furnishings Linens Guest access You will have access to the entire cabin and listed amenities, which includes the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and dining/living room. You also have a private dock. Feel free to use the communal beach and games rooms. There is space for parking for 2 cars. If bringing another car please contact us. Other things to note Linens: sheets, pillows, duvets with covers, and inside towels are available for you. You will need to provide your own beach towels. The running water is pumped from the river and is not potable. You will need to bring drinking water for your drinking/cooking needs. The cabin plumbing works on a septic system. Only toilet paper we provide is to be put down the toilets. Also, please do not pour any type of oils/grease down the drains that could clog the system.
