The environment around the house is meadowland and a stream flows in the western part where there are also several beautiful stone fences. Most of the area consists of meadows and noble leaves with sparse beech forest and stately oaks right now in springtime. The unusually rich flora is explained by the calcareous rock diabase in the area. The Skånelängan of about 220 sqm on two levels was built in the mid 19th-century. The old attributes have been preserved with visible ceiling beams, new wooden floors and contemporary wallpaper. A welcoming hall with stone floors takes you to the center of the house. One flight of stairs up to the upper floor is the newly-renovated sleeping area with a new, fresh bathroom. The house accommodates nine beds divided into three bedrooms - one of the few homes in the area with capacity for the larger family or group. Two of the rooms have four beds each and an extra bed can also be placed in the living room. The furniture is tasteful in its simplicity, with personally selected items, including sofas and armchairs by Carl Malmsten that have just been newly upholstered. You come here to hang out with the family, across generational boundaries or why not with the work team. Peace of mind, community, perhaps as a writer's den where inspiration can flow freely without disturbance. The large idyllic garden gives an old-fashioned Bullerby feeling through its apple trees, berry bushes and in the summer, flowering peonies and rose bushes. There is also a furnished patio and - for those who are playful - access to swings, Roman rings and rope ladder all placed in the old apple tree. In the area, it is popular to go hiking, biking and also mountain biking and maybe you will meet a birdwatcher or two. If you meet someone, don't be surprised if they speak Danish or German. The house is fully equipped - fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, new beds - and all you need to bring is your own bed linens and towels. You will find, among other things, a grocery store with catering and a library next door, in Killhult, which has a very rich association life with activities for residents and visitors all year round. For those who also want to experience the city pulse, Kristianstad is only 2.5 miles north and Lund 5 miles south, where you can get by public bus.
