Secluded Lodge in West Sussex

Meadow Lodge is a charming place to unwind. Situated in the stunning rural Sussex village of Slaugham (home to destination restaurant, Heritage and an AONB), yet conveniently located close to London and Brighton, the open plan lodge has its own entrance and sits in its own acre. So, whether putting your feet up in front of the wood burner after a day exploring, or bbq-ing and dining al fresco, it's the perfect place from which to explore all that Sussex has to offer. The space The lodge is a bright and spacious open plan building. The double bed is set back from the living area and fabric panels create a sense of separation. Fabric panels also separate the bunk bed area (which is its own space in behind the chimney breast wall). The kitchen has a fridge freezer, a twin hotplate, a microwave combi-oven and slow cooker (outside there is also a barbecue). Outside a lovely decked area with table, chairs and a fire pit leads onto a one acre meadow. Whilst relaxing here we've seen deer, foxes, badgers, rabbits and there's even a regular heron visitor! It’s a beautiful place to enjoy the birds, watch the butterflies and relax. Guest access The Lodge is accessed via a private entrance (electric gates). There is ample off-street parking and the space and meadow is yours to roam through. Other things to note Well behaved and well socialised dogs are welcome. We have a lovely, gentle German Shorthaired Pointer who roams freely in our garden. He has no access to the paddock but he may appear at the gate to our garden to say hello. Due to The Lodge's relative proximity to the A23 you will sometimes hear road sounds outside. It is a trick of the wind, sometimes nothing, other times it is present.
