Beckside Cottage Orton

Delightful detached 3 bed cottage located within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, on the Coast to Coast route, and in easy reach of the Lake District National Park. Two miles from Tebay, Beckside is situated in the pretty village of Orton, while the nearby towns of Appleby, Kendal and Penrith all only a 20 minute drive away. Sitting by the beck, the cottage has lovely views over the fields and countryside up to Orton Scar. There are walks and cycle rides from the door. The space Down a short flight of stone steps to the front door, entry into the cottage through the vestibule, which has a handy bench on which to sit and take off walking boots. Kitchen The bright and airy fully fitted kitchen, with breakfast bar, has an oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and air fryer, kettle, and toaster and is well stocked with pans, crockery, cutlery and cleaning products. Laundry room From the kitchen, into the hall and the laundry room is on the right. This houses the air source heat pump for the downstairs underfloor heating, and upstairs radiators and heated towel rails, a washing machine, tumble dryer and downstairs toilet. There is also a sink, and laundry products. Lounge/diner Through the doors from the kitchen and into the living room, with lovely views over the open fields and the beck which runs to the rear of the cottage. There is a dining table and chairs, comfy sofas, and a wood burner. The cottage has broadband, and there is a large smart tv, and board games, jigsaws and a selection of books to help you relax and unwind. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and the main bathroom off the large landing area. Bedroom 1 The spacious main bedroom sleeps 2, and is overlooking the rear patio and beck with open views over the fields. It has a comfortable super king size bed, and there is also an en-suite shower room. Main bathroom The large main bathroom has a toilet, washbasin and bath with shower, and towels are provided. Bedroom 2 Is situated at the front of the cottage, with views over the fields and along the road into the village. There is a super king size zip link bed, bedside cabinets and wardrobe. Bedroom 3 Is also at the rear of the cottage, overlooking the beck and open fields. Sleeps 2 and has twin beds, bedside cabinets and wardrobe. Towels and hairdryers are provided in each bedroom. The double rooms have zip link beds which can be converted into singles if required. A travel cot and high chair can also be provided on request. In the outside store are a rattan table and chairs, and a small barbecue. The cottage is well equipped to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Parking is on the road outside the cottage, or on the quiet lane around the back. Other things to note Beckside Cottage is situated in a lovely village, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, next to a beck , and with walks from the door to the nearby Howgills. Easy access to the Lake District. Village has a pub, shop/ post office, café and chocolate factory. Local to the famous Tebay services, as seen on tv.
