Tranquil, Private, backyard Studio (Stairs)

Oakland hills, lots of filtered sunlight. Set up for two guests (2 single beds). Neighbors enjoy the feeling of living in the country - enjoy their peace and quiet by 8:00pm. Modern, newly constructed, quiet, clean, detached studio, private entrance and bathroom; uphill side of our property. 13x13 room. 70 steps to get to it. Winding steep hills, no private parking, street parking is relatively easy to find. There is a mini fridge/freezer, water kettle & coffee maker. DOES NOT HAVE KITCHEN The space THERE IS NO KITCHEN (There is a mini freezer/fridge, water kettle and coffee maker). There are many flights of steps and some are uneven and do not have a railing. Inside: There is a chest of drawers to store a few items. Our family is allergic to animals, down, so the space is down free, dander free, allergen free. The floor is sealed concrete, which is why it stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The shower is one of our favorite parts: new high quality tile, tall and spacious with floor. Clean, comfortable, cozy and quiet. Outside the studio is a shared garden space (three older teens). We do ask on checkout that guests: leave all used lines/towels by the door, wipe down bathroom surfaces with a disinfectant wipe and take out any garbage to the bins 20 feet away on the upper street. We pride ourselves on keeping this space VERY clean and part of that is guests doing these quick three things before cleaning service comes in. This space is ideal for people who need a place to stay temporary in town for work or visiting family nearby. It is set up for two people only. Guest access THERE ARE NO SIDEWALKS IN THIS AREA AND GUEST SHOULD HAVE A CAR, USE UBER OR BE READY TO HIKE (WE CAN NOT GIVE RIDES TO GUESTS). Basically it is a beautifully designed, modern studio: large bedroom and a bathroom. There is wifi and no kitchen. We will provide towels, sheets, soap, and toilet paper. To get into the studio you can walk from the lower yard/ street entrance, up the stairs on the left, past the main house, into the upper garden area where the studio is. Other things to note THERE ARE 4 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS AND GUEST SHOULD BE READY TO CARRY BAGS UP. Again we and our neighbors really appreciate that this a quiet area, no loud music being played, nobody chatting loudly after dark, nobody partying. If you're looking for a friendly, quiet, private, clean, comfortable place to rest while the rest of the time you tour the bay area, this is perfect. The shower and sink are on a grey water system and empty into the lower garden. Please be mindful of what goes down those drains. Note: We sometimes have a bee hive in the lower area of our garden (over two hundred feet away from the studio). Our kids play 10 feet from it and have never been stung.
