Wake up to the view of the rising sun over the rocky hills from the back yard, while you prepare for your day of exploring everything the high desert has to offer. This modern yet earthy-styled home is the perfect place to relax & unwind after a day of hiking Joshua Tree Park, or after you have discovered the many great restaurants & activities around the Twentynine Palms region! The space Villa Datura is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom bungalow with a large hot tub that can comfortably seat 5-6 people. Both bedrooms are spacious with a desk in the second bedroom. Perfect for a quiet getaway or a place to work remote for the weekend (or longer)! The main living area is an open concept space with a large kitchen island separating the beautiful chef’s kitchen & the living room. Enjoy your breakfast & coffee at the kitchen island (or out in the backyard on the outdoor sofa or sun loungers) while the sun comes up over the Joshua Tree Park horizon. Or feel free to have a quiet movie night snuggled up on the large, and dangerously comfortable, sectional couch. Right off the kitchen & living room is the dining room with it's large dining table that can seat up to 7/8 people. There is a fun album wall with a record player & high quality speakers as well for any music aficionados! The record player is also bluetooth enabled if you want to connect & play music from your phone. Both bathrooms are designed with built in vanities styled in a built in plaster-style, which was heavily inspired by the homeowners once-in-a-lifetime vacation experience while in Tulum, Mexico. The guest bathroom has a large bathtub/shower combo, while the en-suite primary bathroom has a shower with a luxurious & refreshing rainfall shower head! The backyard area is a tranquil, fairly large portion of the property, with a sectional seating area on the patio & 2 cushioned lounge chairs to enjoy in one corner of the backyard space, as well. There is also a brand new BBQ grill, brand new day bed w/ a canopy attachment, brand new firepit, and brand new firepit seating for guests enjoyment as well. The back gate opens up onto a large, open desert landscape hidden there beyond the backyard fence line; it's a perfect little stretch of desert beauty, conveniently accessible for anyone looking to go on a morning walk, or those seeking a different vantage point to stargaze at night. Suffice to say, we think any guests choosing to stay with us here get a pretty sweet deal! And we hope to share our little slice of the Hi-Desert with all guests or groups that choose us for their desert experience! Guest access You will be given a personalized 4 to 6 digit code to the front door prior to check-in & that code will be active & usable for the duration of your stay, and then deactivated upon your check-out. You will have access to the entire house & property, except for a hallway closet used for supply storage.. Other things to note ### IMPORTANT!!! ### This house runs on septic. Please do not flush anything down the toilet besides toilet paper!! Anything else should be thrown away! Thank you. -------------------------------------------------- 1) AIR MATTRESS/COUCH SLEEPING INFO: The air mattress available for guests is a full sized bed air mattress. We have sheets, pillowcases and a mattress pad for extra comfort if needed, available for use with the air mattress. The air mattress is best placed in the living room/kitchen area if you choose to use it during your stay. Although the air mattress is pretty durable, please do not slide the air mattress excessively or jump on it for any reason. Doing either of these things could cause the mattress material to tear or pop, rendering the mattress useless & leaving you without an air mattress during your stay. If the mattress is damaged or torn, taken off property (either by mistake or knowingly), or otherwise missing from the property in any way, we would have to request an additional charge be paid for us to buy a new one. The couch can also be used for guests to sleep on, if they wish. It is quite a comfortable couch, and pretty comparable to a twin sized bed as far as its width from side to side. The longer side of the couch is quite long too & can probably fit an individual of height 6'6" and under fairly easily. 2) PETS: Three pets (Dogs and/or Cats) max are allowed at the house during guest' bookings. There is a $20 fee per pet, AND we will ask to collect a reasonable & REFUNDABLE pet security deposit as well that we will hold during the booking, which is due to be paid prior to the start of the booking. The pet deposit cost may vary based on length of stay. Please account for your pets upon booking. We do have exterior security cameras at the house, so if we discover any booking trying to stay with unaccounted for pets, those guests will be asked to submit the pet fee & pet security deposit promptly, or else the booking may be at risk of cancellation & guests may be asked to vacate the house immediately. P.S. Pick up your dogs poop in the backyard & front yard areas at all times! It is not the responsibility of us as hosts or our cleaners responsibility to pick up after your dog/pet. Not picking up after your pet WILL put any pet security deposit in jeopardy. 3) SMOKING: Smoking is allowed OUTSIDE the home ONLY. Additionally, we will ask to collect a refundable smoking deposit that will need to be paid prior to the start of the booking. The smoking deposit cost may vary based on length of stay. Smoking deposit will be refunded within a few days after your stay concludes as long as there is no evidence that you smoked inside the house (which is, again, against our rules) & as long as there is no smoking paraphernalia, cigarette butts, vape sticks, wrappers, cartridges, etc etc. left behind in the outside areas. Please monitor, clean up, and throw away any evidence of you/your group's smoking habit before your final check out! No exceptions! 4) QUIET HOURS: Guests should take note of desired quiet hours in the area/neighborhood from 10PM - 8AM. Please try to be as quiet as possible or move all noise inside the house during this time period! These desert areas/towns can be extremely dark & quiet at night, so any elevated noise can carry & possibly disrupt neighbors next door or nearby. Any complaints from any neighbors or other city officials/personnel about noise or other nuisances will be dealt with swiftly! 5) MID/LONG TERM BOOKING NOTE: If you're interested in booking the house for a longer stay (multiple weeks or months), please still reach out and inquire about your desired dates even if they don't appear as available on the calendar. We prefer to only host bookings that are at most 100 days or less in length, however we may make exceptions for stays over 100 days on a case by case basis. 6) NEWBORNS/INFANTS/CHILDREN: If you are traveling with a newborn, infant, or any young child, and may need use of a high chair and/or a travel crib/pack & play during your stay, you must request those items to be provided in the house in advance of your check in date. If this is ignored, it's possible these items won't be available during your stay. Again, it is a guest/guests responsibility to ask for these things in advance if they will be needed. Thank you.
