Welcome to our cosy double room just 30 minutes from Edinburgh by car. Enjoy free on-site parking, reliable high-speed WiFi and a warm, homely atmosphere. Indoor fireplace & homely comfort Full kitchen access with breakfast basics Laundry facilities for longer stays I'm a happy superhost who responds within the hour, book now and feel at home! The space This double private single room is is on the sunny side of the house. A comfortable bed and blackout curtains help you get a good sleep. You will have towels, an extra pillow and blanket. You will also have tea, coffee and water. The shared bathroom is close by. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, end everything else needed to prepare food. There are laundry facilities at a small charge. The dining room and lounge are shared and are comfortable places to relax. Guest access I will welcome you and show you around the place. You will have a main door key and a private room. You can use the kitchen, lounge with its well known book collection, the dining room, back garden, and park on the drive. During your stay Whether you like to chat or need some space and time, I will respect that. I do love to get to know my guests and some good friendships have been formed here. Some folks came for a weekend, and stayed for two months. Others come back for that home from home experience. Other things to note The town's name is pronounced 'Pennycook' and is derived from the Gaelic, Pen Y Cog, meaning "Hill of the Cuckoo" Architectural masterpieces are the South Church and the flamboyant "Park End" houses on Bridge Street also of 1862. Visit the Rosslyn Chapel (Da Vinci Code) of 1456 or explore the historic Penicuik House (1761) and wooded estate or hike into the Pentland Hills via Floterstone or from the nearby woodland. Little Owls is is borne from my travel and cultural background. Staying here will add to your experience. My place is nestled close to the lush woodlands of the Pentland Hills - my favorite place for trekking. Have a restful peaceful sleep here, then explore Edinburgh, 9 miles/15km. A 27/7 bus service operates from the end of the street. You can stop off at Roslyn Chapel for the world famous 14th Century historic Chapel tour, or enjoy a local beer and Pizza at Stewart Brewing en-route. Whilst here, make a point of visiting the iconic Penicuik Estate where Highland Cows are sometimes seen.our travel experience.
