One can find themselves in the true essence of nature under the clear starry skies. Mohraan becomes an island during monsoons. A perennial stream flowing along one border, a river flowing nearby, a natural pool of near Olympic size, and many waterfalls during monsoon. Come to the lap of nature The space Moharan Farm Villas has been designed to be as close to nature as possible and you can soak in nature from all corners of the house. There are four cottages in this listing - , Stream View Villa 1 - Sleeps 3 Stream View Villa 2 - Sleeps 3 Glory Villa East - Sleeps 3 Glory Villa West - Sleeps 3 Glory Villa East & West Glory Villa has two cottages each with its entry foyer, a private veranda, and a bedroom with attached bathrooms with hot & cold showers, western style loo. The beds are extra-large with attached bathrooms and can easily accommodate 3-4 persons with space to spare. Laze around with everyone in the lovely veranda connecting the two cottages or sip on a jungle tea in your private veranda with the soothing sound of nature all around you. Stream View Villa 1 & 2 Two separate cottages on the first floor at the height of the dense trees around, the ground floor is yours for chilling out. Both cottages comes with a private balcony attached to a large bedroom with attached bathroom with hot & cold showers & western style loo. The bedroom is extra-large with attached bathrooms and can easily accommodate 2 persons with space to spare. You have the option to add floor mattresses if you are more than 2 members. The Villas are in the midst of a mango grove and a high roof made of Mangalorean tiles should keep you cool but if required there are air coolers to beat the summer heat. FOOD Food is a critical part of the Food Forest Experience and we serve veg/non-veg buffet meals (Morning tea, Breakfast, Lunch, Evening tea, Dinner) at an additional cost of Rs 2000/- per head per day. The food is traditionally cooked with most of the natural ingredients being freshly harvested from the food forest to give you maximum natural flavor and nutrition. If you are willing to try new things, please ask for forest food and get information about the vegetables, pickles, etc. available at the time of your visit. (Desi free-range chicken, mutton, and local fish can be arranged at an extra cost as per catch if available) A barbecue can be arranged at an extra cost - Material cost at actual + Rs 300 making charges. ACTIVITIES The most important activity you do at Mohraan is getting rid of activities. Slowing down and getting away from your routine takes time and effort. Once you calm down there are various things to enjoy here like Kayaking, Natural farming, Swimming, Fishing, Foraging, Cycling, Trekking, Hiking, Bird watching, Photography, Nature Walks/Trails, Jungle Walks to name a few or you can just soak in nature in a hammock under the shade of a tree with your favorite book listening to nature’s musical band. NATURAL POOL Mohraan becomes an island during rainy days and one stream flows along one border around the year. Along with this, a natural pool of near Olympic size is formed in the rainy season. Also, there is a river flowing nearby which is good for swimming almost throughout the year. so it's heaven for swimming lovers. CHILDREN It is dependant on parents and what they would like their children to experience and how they would like to expose them to nature. We do not have a TV or WiFi and do not have a regular children’s play area. However, Mohraan Farms is a wonderful tryst with nature. It triggers creativity, encourages kids to think out of the box, get away from TV, phone, or gaming screens, and engage with the natural reserves around the property. PETS Your pets would love it out here in the open at Mohraan Farms. The entire farm property is open for your pets except for the beds and sofa provided they are not aggressive and are friendly with people on the farm. Please carry your pet's bedding and kibble or we can provide home-cooked food at an additional charge. Guest access Our guests will have access to the entire property. Mohraan is about 100 km from Thane and 35kms off the Mumbai-Nashik highway. It takes about 2-3 hrs to reach Mumbai and Nashik. From Pune, it would take approximately 3-4 hrs. The last one kilometer is off-roading, even a hatchback vehicle can navigate easily. Other things to note 1) Please note we are farmers and we are in the nascent stages of crafting a natural farm stay experience. Providing room service is not possible. 2) Request you to please treat it as your farm and not as a resort. 3) There are many types of plants, insects, animals, birds, snakes, butterflies, odonates, etc. on the farm. We would appreciate it if you'd love them the way we do, if not we request you at least not to harm them in any way and they will be happy with your presence. 4) Waste management is one of the key areas where we expect your cooperation. Please take responsibility for any non-biodegradable items/trash you bring here and carry it back with you. Trash bags are available. 5) Please avoid bringing bottled water. Water provided at Mohraan is completely natural and tested for its purity. 6) It is a no smoking and no drug zone and we request everyone to refrain from consuming such things while you are staying at Mohraan. 7)There are many water bodies in and around the property. Please ensure that both you and your pet can swim or else, do not risk getting into the water under any circumstances. If you do wish to get your feet wet in the water, please do ask for and wear a life jacket for your safety. Life jackets are available. There is no lifeguard on the property. Also, all activities are subject to weather conditions. 8) In case you have any special requests please feel free to talk to us at the time of booking and we will try our best to accommodate your request.
