Enjoy a gastronomic getaway in our stylish pied-à-terre! You'll be staying in a boutique, architecturally-designed residence, situated in the heart of Carlton's café and restaurant precinct. Tucked away in a quiet lane way, the three-level home is a 2-minute walk from many of the neighbourhood's best-loved venues, and a short tram ride from Melbourne city's beloved lane ways. The space Our favourite space in number 48 is the light-filled living room - it's a beautiful area in which to relax after a busy day exploring the city. To maximise your relaxation, we've curated an extensive library for guests who like to unwind with a good book. The third-level retreat boasts a carefully curated selection of DVDs for movie buffs nostalgic for the heady indecision of Friday nights at Blockbuster video. The two bedrooms and bathrooms are situated on the ground level. The main bedroom offers a king-sized bed and built-in robes, while the second bedroom has a queen bed and chest of drawers. The bathrooms offer guests the choice of shower or bath, and both have underfloor heating for extra comfort in Melbourne winters. The main living level also contains a small, full-sized kitchen that is well stocked with all necessary cooking equipment, a high speed Ninja food blender, toaster, and kettle. Ample crockery and cutlery are also provided. All guests will be provided with stocks of tea, coffee, milk, and butter on arrival. There will also be some cooking oils and condiments available. We all know about Melbourne's infamous weather - it can get both very hot and very cold, so there is reverse-cycle air-con throughout the house for your comfort. We love ensuring visitors get to know our neighbourhood, so make sure you let us know what sort of food, drink, and entertainment you like when you book! Although our house is spread over 3 levels, it is a relatively compact space. As such, it's probably best suited to 2 people for extended getaways - or 4 people for a weekend.
