Hello and welcome ! This lovely flat was originally designed for one or two people. Four people can fit if they are willing to squeeze around each other. The space This quirky and unusual one bedroom mezzanine flat on two floors has been designed and built in a contemporary and functional style. However, rather than conveying a cold and aseptic perception of space like many contemporary buildings do, the exposed brickwork of an original wall confers instead a warm and homely feeling to this unique place. Porcelain floors, generous roof skylights, integrated wall mirrors flush with the tiles are only a few highlights of this remarkable building that will offer you a very comfortable shelter in this amazing buzzing town. The sleek galley-style kitchen has a 4m long worktop, double sink, double oven, microwave oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer and plenty of cupboard space available. It is well equipped with cutlery, crockery and quality utensils. The flat has a washing machine, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Generous insulation and modern central heating make this space warm in winter and cool in summer. Apart from the secluded, well looked after shared patio garden, this flat is totally self contained and creates a very private and cosy bubble around yourself and your loved ones. The sleeping area is on a mezzanine floor. The remaining area has a wonderfully high ceiling reaching over 5 metres at its highest point and is well lit by large skylights. The bathroom is fully tiled, spacious and bright. There are two single beds in the sleeping area which can either be used separately or put together to form a 1,4 x 2 m double bed. The double bed takes up the full width of the mezzanine, so access will be from one end of the bed. Any guest after the second will sleep on mattresses made up as beds and laid on the floor either next to each other on the mezzanine or on the ground floor at your choice. This smart flat is located in a working class neighbourhood amidst private and gracefully refurbished local authority houses and lies within the elegant Marylebone area. It is very close to the centre of London and well served with bus routes to the main attractions. The closest bus stop only 200 metres away. Marylebone underground and railway station can be reached with a 5 min walk. Baker Street and Edgware Road underground stations are 10 min walk away. All these stations are in pricing zone 1. A parking space next to the flat can be made available upon request for an extra small fee. Should you be too tired to cook, you will never be short of options for places to eat in the West End or in the nearby St John’s Wood High Street. The beautiful Grand Union Canal flows less than 50 metres away from the flat. A pleasant walk or jog or cycle along the Canal tow path will take you to Little Venice and Paddington one way or ritght through the wonderful Regents Park or further down to the lively Camden Town Market. In the Park, only 5 minutes walk away, you can enjoy the views of the boating lake, the rose garden, London Zoo, all surrounded by magnificent John Nash designed terraces. Also 5 to 10 mins away are Church Street market with the famous Alfie’s antique store, Madame Tussaud’s waxwork museum and Lord’s cricket ground . Buckingham Palace and the House of Parliament are respectively two and three tube stops away. I live next door to the flat and therefore should something go wrong you will not have to go too much out of your way to find me.
