Description
Welcome to Rabbit Hollow. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cabin in the mountains. We are located just a few miles north of Stone Mountain State Park, and about four miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our cabin sits on the High Meadows golf course and has a peekaboo view of the valley below. The quiet setting allows for wildlife viewing and is within 30 minutes of 19 different vineyards. Please note that we do not host events or parties. The space This cabin accommodates up to 10 people comfortably. There is a large A-frame great room, 3 bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, 4 bathrooms, and a downstairs family room with a large TV and a shuffleboard table. Fully functional kitchen, multiple decks, outdoor eating area with party lights and two hanging hammock chairs. We provide many supplies that others do not because we have found that the emotional load of remembering to bring all the things— paper towels, toilet paper, ziplock bags, dish soap, laundry soap, basic cleaning supplies etc.—is enough to put a damper on the fun of vacationing. Please use what you need and leave the rest for the next guests. Parking: There is a pull-through driveway and parking for ample cars. Please note that there is no good turn-around spot on Rabbit Run once you pass our cabin. It’s a one-way, dead-end street. If you happen to end up down the lane, just use someone’s driveway to turn around. Property: We own the island property to the corner of Ridge Rd./Chestnut Ridge Rd. and the property below the house–the grass and forest until it meets the road on all sides. Please feel free to use all of our property; however, please do not walk or play on the golf course which is privately owned and not available for guest play. If you happen to be outside when golfers are on the green, please use golf etiquette and stay quiet during active putting. (If you want to golf during your stay, we recommend heading over to Olde Beau, which is directly across Hwy 21. Super dynamic and beautiful course!) Kitchen: We regularly use this kitchen so it is quite fully stocked with the cookware and dishes you will need for your stay. Pots & pans, a Keurig, hand mixer, salad spinner, tea kettle, rice maker, crock pot, casserole dishes, pie pan, bread pan, muffin tin, electric griddle, cookie sheets, measuring cups and spoons, serving ware, spatulas, ladle, potato masher, cutting boards, knives, cheese grater, colander, citrus press, utensils, pastry brush, rolling pin, serving dishes, plates, bowls, mugs, cups, pitcher, many spices, baking staples and more! There is a fire extinguisher beneath the sink. Also, you will find the switch for the disposal under the sink on the right side. Beds: We have made an effort to provide comfortable mattresses on all beds. All bedding is made with natural fibers (cotton/linen comforters and 100% cotton sheets.) There are extra linens, fans, and space heaters available to use as needed. Guest access You will have access to the whole house with a fully functional kitchen and laundry closet. Indoor fireplace, jetted tub, shuffleboard table, Wii, television, Wi-Fi. Other things to note Please note that after the water hose leaked through to the basement, we have chosen to disconnect the water from the fridge which means there is no automatic ice maker. There are three ice trays in the freezer for use, or you can bring a bag of ice with you if you plan to want lots of ice. The tap water is safe and delicious!
