The Sea Glass Getaway is a small, modest, simple, and pet-friendly cottage less than a block from the beach! This two bedroom, one bath home has peek-a-boo views of the ocean, and is conveniently located close to the pedestrian only beach. We are close to the Surfside Jetty Park, which has a new splash pad. Venture out to the Jetty's Point to fish and watch porpoises play. Take a beach drive and get to and from the beach and around town easily on one of our rentable golf carts (inquire for rates and availability). Please take note: Surfside’s water is not potable or drinkable, and has a slight tint to it. It is fine for showering or brushing your teeth, just not recommended for cooking or drinking. So please bring bottle water. Rent a Golf cart (Surfside Beach buggy rental, Surfside Beach Toy Rentals, Brazosport Golf Carts) Ride your bike! Walk around! Drive to your spot on the beach! Bring your boat, jet ski or PWC! Ample parking at the house, the Jetty Park, and the beach. Conveniently located near two food trucks, a drive thru daiquiri shack, and five local restaurants. Kitty's Purple Cow is a cornerstone of Surfside fare, the Seahorse Grill is situated right on the beach and hosts weekend karaoke, Red Snapper Inn hosts a great fine dining experience, Beachfront Deck Bar & Grill prepares fresh, never frozen seafood food and a fun play area, and Dorado's Dive Club has great oysters. Just over the San Luis Pass bridge, take a day trip to Galveston and visit the historic Strand or Seawall, Pleasure Pier, or Moody Gardens! - Pets are welcome with a non-refundable fee of $50 per pet for your trip. If you are bringing more than one pet please let us know and we will process the additional fee via airbnb resolution center. Please pick up after your pets and dispose of their waste in the outside trash. Failure to do so will result in additional cleaning fees. -Strictly no more than 6 guests. If you have more than six guests the local authorities will be notified and you will be asked to leave. We do not allow parties. Please be respectful of our home and our neighbors. If you have more than six guests it is a violation of our rental agreement and your rental contract will be terminated and you will be asked to leave and a refund will not be provided. - Please take note: Surfside’s water is not potable or drinkable, and has a slight tint to it. It is fine for showering or brushing your teeth, it is just not recommended for cooking or drinking. So please bring bottled drinking water. We do not have any control over the city water, but the city of Surfside is currently working to bring potable water to the island. - Please note the yard is not secured by a fence and that Owner must pick up after and properly dispose of dog poop in outside trash. Failure to do so will result in additional cleaning fees. - Door code and other check-in instructions will be provided the morning of your arrival. This is to protect the privacy of current guests. - There is a $50 fee for an early check-in, if we can accommodate it. Please give us at least 3 days notice if you wish to make a request. - We provide 8 towels, 2 wash cloths, and a hand towel in the kitchen for your stay, which are meant for bathing/showering only. We do not provide beach towels. If you require additional towels, please bring them with you. - We provide 1 roll of paper towels. If you think you will need more, please bring additional paper towels. - We provide 2 trash bags. - Additional charges will be applied for any damage to property or furniture. if you destroy or damage the property, you will be paying for labor and materials for repairs or replacement. We do not accept incremental payments for damage. Payment will be made in full. - 4% Village of Surfside Beach hotel/motel tax (Registration #10226) is included as "Community Fee" - No pets allowed in the hot tub. Pet hair found in the hot tub will result in additional cleaning fees. -We no longer provide basic condiments or spices. Please bring any spices or condiments you believe you will need for your stay. We apologize for any inconvenience, but many guests in the past would take the brand new condiments and spices with them when they left, unfortunately. - We have the house regularly treated by pest control, but please remember that it is Texas. There are bugs from time to time, and mosquitos are also just a part of the coastal existence.
