Our property is a private & homey spot for those craving a taste of the country but still want to be close to amenities of Pictou. New updates to the unit include new bedroom flooring, new beds, & new refrigerator. Animals on property! Golden Retrievers, chickens, ducks, bunny rabbit & cats. 5-10 min drive to: Pictou, Sobeys, beach, Caribou-PEI Ferry, walk/bike trail. *Please note the 2nd bedroom is ONLY accessible through the first bedroom. The 3rd Bed is a double size pull out couch* The space Tucked away on the Sunrise Trail, surrounded by trees and little touches of country life. Relax and enjoy the sound of the rooster crowing and the sight of our hens clucking about. A private and cozy spot for a short stay to catch up on some rest during your journey around the Maritimes. You may even spot a bear! Guest access The apartment is attached to our home. It is on the 2nd floor, so you will need to climb some stairs to access it. There is a very nice walking trail (Jitney Trail) just a 5 minute drive, at the Pictou waterfront. A quick 10 minute drive brings you to Waterside, a beach on the Northumberland Straight where you can swim, play on the sandbars during low tide, and watch the ferries crossing to PEI from the beach! Other things to note ** The Municipality of Pictou County Requires that guests occupying short-term accommodations in this area (less than 28 days stay) must pay a tourism marketing levy of 3% of your booking price. This levy will be automatically added to your reservation through the AirBnb app/website, and is collected and remitted to the Municipality of Pictou by your host, on your behalf.
