The space Charming Woodland Retreat in North Norfolk This small semi-detached cottage is an enchanting sanctuary in North Norfolk, surrounded by acres of woodland. Set back from the road along a private drive, the property is immersed in the sounds of nature while still being less than a 15-minute drive from the beautiful sandy beaches of Cromer and Sheringham. Tastefully designed to provide comfortable, high-quality accommodation, the cottage is ideal for couples, walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, small families, or romantic getaways. For every stay, guests are provided with household essentials, linens, bath towels, and hand towels. Living Space The property features an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen including a sink with drainer, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, cafetière, electric oven and hob with extractor fan, microwave, kettle, and toaster. A small dining table with two chairs sits beside a large lantern window that fills the space with natural light. The bright living area offers a large Smart TV, ultra-fast broadband, a luxurious leather sofa and armchair, and a distinctive, welcoming style. If bringing a dog, please keep the protective throws on the sofa and armchair to prevent scratching the leather. Bedroom – Sleep Well, Rest Easy The spacious bedroom features a king-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, and a freestanding wardrobe with hangers. The adjoining ensuite shower room includes a walk-in shower, WC, wash basin, heated towel rail, wall-mounted mirror, and shaving point. A hairdryer, compact tabletop ironing board, and iron are also provided. Outside – Morning Brew With a View Relax on the veranda, where birdsong and nature provide the perfect backdrop. Enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine on the stylish rattan furniture while taking in the surrounding natural beauty. *Please note: there is no enclosed or fenced garden.* The property is suitable for guests with restricted mobility and is wheelchair accessible; however, there is gravel outside and no paved footpath to the roadside. The iconic North Norfolk Steam Railway provides scenic journeys to the charming market town of Holt, known for its boutique shops, art galleries, and 100-acre country park. Walkers Woodland trails and footpaths begin at the end of the driveway. Explore the Felbrigg Estate and its wildlife-rich lake, walk to Sheringham, or discover the stunning coastal paths. Cyclists With direct access to miles of scenic cycling routes, Aylmerton is ideal for riders of all levels. Take on hillier routes towards Runton or enjoy quieter, flatter rides towards Sustead. Certain areas of Sheringham Beach allow dogs year-round, and the dog-friendly town of Holt even features independent pet boutiques for special treats. Accessibility The property includes wheelchair-accessible entrances and interior doorways. *Please note: the exterior ground is gravel and there is no footpath to the roadside.* Other things to note House Information **Hot Water** Hot water is provided by an eco-friendly air-source heat pump connected to a shared hot-water cylinder (shared with the neighbouring property). The system typically supplies enough hot water for **2–3 consecutive showers**. If the hot water runs low, please allow **25–40 minutes** for the cylinder to refill and reheat. Occasionally, the system may automatically reset after detecting a fault, which may also require additional reheating time. **Pets** Dogs are welcome. If bringing a dog, please use the **protective covers provided** for the leather sofa and armchair. **Garden** Please note that the garden is **not enclosed/fenced**, so pets should be supervised at all times. **EV Charging** An EV charger is available at a rate of **£0.40 per kWh**.
