Lydford House is ideally situated off the A30 and on Route27 within the tranquil village of Lydford in Dartmoor National Park. Lydford Gorge is a 15-minute walk away. We are 'Eco Friendly' cutting out single use plastics and using local product/suppliers. All our mattresses are handmade locally from Dartmoor wool and our pillows are 100 wool filled. A quite and tranquil place to stay with beautiful gardens and views. The village is well served with 2 pubs within 10 minutes walking distance. The space A self-catering Suite - breakfast is not supplied. This charming and beautiful suite is perfect for romantic getaway, up in the eaves of this Victorian House Widgery's suite features views of the moors and surrounding countryside and beautifully made casement windows. The Suite is complete with a kitchenette, with oven, fridge, and all utensils supplied. Known as Widgery's Nest this space will make for a truely special base to explore dartmoor. Couples looking for high quality and value for money, will love the extra space and privacy Widgery's Nest provides. Please note; in areas there is limited head height and the suite is up 3 flights of stairs. Self check-in and check out details will be provided 2 days prior to check in. Access to the building is by key fob and you will also have access to the ground floor guest lounge and gardens. We are sorry to say dogs are not permitted.
