Built in the 1930s this cottage exudes rustic charm from that era. A fantastic waterfront location, it is a quick 2-minute drive from the village of Lion's Head where you will find shopping stores, restaurants, the beach, marina and hospital. The cottage has beautiful stone floors and pine walls and ceilings all throughout the home. At the shoreline you will find the gem of this property. The stone boathouse is an oasis sitting at the edge of the water overlooking Georgian Bay. The space The property can accommodate up to four people. The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The boathouse also has a pull out futon as well as a queen size bed in the loft for the adventurers. Please note the boathouse is a bunkhouse/bunkie with no heating or plumbing. The cottage has one bathroom, living room, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher). The boathouse has a vintage refrigerator, table and chairs for dining and playing games. Games are stored in the cottage. There is an outdoor living area providing shade, and a large deck overlooking the Georgian Bay waters. The outdoor firepit is located by the boathouse alongside the water. Code will be provided at a later date. Other things to note Water is non potable and not safe for drinking. Drinking water is provided via the water cooler in the dining room area. The home is equipped with WIFI, although there is no television to allow guests a full cottage experience in the beautiful surroundings of the northern Bruce Peninsula. The Bruce Peninsula has some of the darkest skies in southern Ontario. Our Isthmus Bay home is part of the dark sky community where outdoor and indoor lights are kept to a minimum.
