Bucolic cottage in an exceptional setting

Former sheepfold completely renovated and tastefully decorated, "La Petite Maison" is an integral part of the Moulin de Masson, an exceptional 15th century estate that extends over 10 ha on the edge of Perche, 5 km from Illiers-Combray, the country of Marcel Proust and his famous madeleines. Room is made for lush nature and the many farmyard animals that live in harmony on this unique site at the confluence of the Loir and the Foussarde and crossed by the GR of Saint-Jacques de Compostelle. The space "La Petite Maison" is a nice independent cottage, composed of a double bedroom (160 x 200 bed) with plenty of storage, a bathroom (shower, sink, toilet), a living area with large screen TV and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with bar and dining area for 4 people. An old Jotul stove is located in the living room, however it is not in use. If there are more than 2 of you, you can also rent "La Chambre du Meunier", located just opposite, on the floor of the mill but only accessible by an external staircase. This room with stunning views of the estate and sunset over the river is composed of two single beds (90 x 200), a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The extra room is not suitable for children under 14–15 years of age, the external staircase leading to it may be too difficult for young children/teens. Guest access You can also walk around the entire property and enjoy the Lavoir with its relaxation area, the Kiosk with its garden sofas, walks on the various meadows,... while respecting the ecosystem and animals, whether pets or wild. ⚠️ The estate is not suitable for children between 1 and 12 years old: the proximity of unsecured banks, bridges and islands make the environment too dangerous for them. Other things to note We offer various à la carte services: seasonal fruit and vegetable basket on arrival, full breakfast, bouquet of flowers, bottle in the room, 5-continent massages, yoga or Pilates classes... The rental price is for the Petite Maison. If you want to rent the Chambre du Meunier in addition, simply add 2 guests when you finalize your booking.
