My Granny flat has ample space, plenty of privacy and is located in the City Centre! The Granny flat is located on the ground floor of a duplex apartment. It has a fully equipped kitchen, workspace area, ensuite bathroom and even a courtyard! The granny flat is self-accessible, meaning you don’t have to meet the host to gain entrance. Message me about the Free Parking! The space The Granny flat is located on the ground floor and has its own secure, private access. The room is bright and approximately 12m Sq. The room has a workspace (extendable table next to a plug socket, 4ft Double bed (Bedding included!) and a kitchen area. Kitchen Area The kitchen area uses a gas hob and conventional electric oven. Basic utensils will be supplied (Plates, cutlery, bowls, mugs, glasses, ovenware ect). There is a large sink and draining board for cleaning utensils. Washing Liquid, cleaning spray, kitchen paper, tea towels, sponges will all be supplied. There is also a 50/50 fridge freezer. Sleeping Area The bed is 4ft (1200mm) wide. It has multiple layers of mattress protectors which are cleaned after each guest departs. A duvet and two pillows will be supplied during your stay. The duvet, pillows and mattress will have bed covers fitted for all visitors. TV Supplied in front of the bed has good "Freeview" signal and has HDMI port for those wishing to bring a chromecast or fire stick. Bathroom The bathroom comprises of a toilet, large sink and a walk in shower with a curtain. Bathmats are supplied to each guest. Guests will also receive a hand towel and 2x large bath towels. The shower is powered from a central heating unit and previous guests have described it as powerful and hot. Courtyard The garden outside is currently empty, but quite pleasant as it catches the sun. Other useful information: We have a garage and therefore can store suitcases or bicycles Additional Door in the room leads to the rest of the duplex apartment. This will be locked during your stay. Guest access Although Birmingham Central is quite dense, the Estate where the Granny-Flat is located is quite spacey with several green courtyards. Generally, parking is very easy. There are no allocated spaces, so find a space and park in it! Guests will be given specific instructions on how to enter the property. Upon arrival, guests will need to find the property and obtain the keys from the lockbox. There are plenty of signs on the estate directing visitors to the correct housing block. Other things to note Free parking is available onsite. Message me regarding the details on this. No cleaning fees or additional hidden fees! Guests should be aware that my partner and I live in the rest of the duplex apartment. The granny flat currently uses a 4ft bed (1.2m wide). Therefore, bookings are suitable for 1 guest only. Previous guests have commented: Ventilation - there are no opening windows in the granny flat. The main way to ventilate the granny-flat is to open the door. Creaky Floor from residence above - A guest has commented that she could hear our floorboards creaking occasionally. Neighbours - We have (at least) 6 direct neighbours. A guest commented that she could hear them infrequently.
