Family and dog friendly self-catering accommodation in Criccieth North Wales on Llyn Peninsula and near Snowdonia, Anglesey and Tremadoc Bay Porth yr Aur is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, dog friendly (£30 charge) cottage with private parking and EV charger (charges may apply). king size bed and bathroom on ground floor. Wonderful Castle views as we are just opposite! 2 mins walk from beaches. Cottage sleep 8. Studio seeps 2 with own shower room and kitchen area. High street 5 mins walk away. The space Porthyraur combines high standards of comfort in a beautiful historic building in a glorious setting with wonderful views! In winter keep cosy with our central heating and electric stoves. In summer explore the local beaches, wonderful coastal walks and places to explore! Porthyraur is ideal for family and friends to stay together and enjoy quality time in a wonderful relaxing environment. You can bring all of your family as we are dog friendly too! Please ensure that dog are added to your booking. Payment will be requested through airbnb prior to your stay. Fantastic for multi-generational stays with a ground floor bedroom and bathroom. And … everything you could need on your doorstep, beaches, walks, shops, cafes, restaurants and takeaways all in easy walking distance! Please note if you wish to use the electric vehicle charger there is an initial charge of £30 which covers up to 100kw usage. This will be requested as an extra payment through airbnb. Any excess over 100kw will be charged as per our providers electricity charge per kw and will need to be paid post stay. HOME FROM HOME ACCOMODATION The studio sleeps 2 band is to the rear of the property with its own small outdoor area and entrance. Please note- we require completion of a customer registration form for all of our bookings. This will be sent by email after booking. We love dogs! 2 dogs are welcome, (there is a charge for dogs please add them to your booking) We have an amazing view of Criccieth Castle and we 2 minutes walk from both Criccieth beaches! Criccieth has all the local amenities you could wish for, shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. It is also perfectly situated for visiting a wide range of places in North Wales, from exploring the Llyn Peninula, travelling south towards Portmadog, Harlech and Barmouth, travelling north towards Caernarfon , Bangor and Angelsey. One of the best bits - beaches and mountains! Snowdonia and all of its beautiful scenery is within easy reach! We have 5 star reviews- COTTAGE FACILITIES Downstairs there is a living room, dining room (seats 8) snug, kitchen, utility (up 3 steps) king size bedroom and shower room. The outdoor area to the rear of the property is gated to ensure safety. there is a picnic bench with patio area and additional seating. There are buckets and spades for guest use stored in the lobster catcher! The living room has a large corner sofa and a slate fireplace with electric stove. TV with Sky and netflix, DVD player and X box-360 with games. The dining room has a wonderful view of the castle. There is a large dining table, desk, sideboard and electric stove. Guests can use the window seating area to admire the castle which look especially magnificent in the evening when lit up! Children can ride on Brandy our family rocking horse. There is a cd player with blue tooth speaker. On the bookcase there are various children's and adults books and DVDs. In the snug there is bench seating together with lots of things to keep families occupied. There is a dolls house, lego, puppets, board games and jigsaws. There is a well equipped kitchen opposite including fridge, dishwasher, double oven and induction hob with extractor. There is also a kettle, toaster, filter coffee maker and sandwich toaster. Up 3 steps there is a utility room. Here there is a washing machine, tumble drier, freezer and microwave together with additional storage cupboards. There is a cool box with ice blocks that guests can also use. Adjacent to the utility is the downstairs shower room with large shower cubicle with shower tower, vanity sink unit and toilet. Directly next to the shower room (not en-suite) is the largest king-size bedroom. This has a wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table with hairdryer and a full- length mirror. The stairs can be reached through the dining room. Upstairs there are 3 further bedrooms and a bathroom. The bathroom has a bath with shower, sink with storage cupboard, toilet and towel rail radiator. The double bedroom has 2 windows both with sea views. there is a large wardrobe area, chest of drawers, hairdryer and full -length mirror, The bunk bedroom has a wardrobe, large chest of drawers, dressing table and full -length mirror. The second double bedroom has a chest of drawers, hanging rail with shelf and full- length mirror. Baby/toddler equipment is available- a travel cot, stair gate, baby monitor, baby bath and highchair (please bring your own bedding for the cot) There are also 2 dog crates for guest use, a water bowl and 2 food bowls. There is a hoover, steam mop, iron and ironing board. Hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and cleaning cloths provided with a tea towel. Basic condiments- salt, pepper, olive oil, sugar. We have tried to think as of many things as possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible without the need to bring the kitchen sink as we know what it's like as a family trying to fit in everything that you need to bring on holiday. STUDIO FACILITIES The self-contained studio has wifi and central heating. The living/sleeping area and kitchen are all in one open plan space with a double bed. Small dining table and 2 chairs, kitchen area with oven, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Sky tv, washing machine, iron and bathroom with shower. Guest access Once at the cottage you are nearby to everything you need and can park the car and leave it if you wish! Private parking is at the rear of the property. this is accessed through Henbont Road. Further details Will be sent after booking. See video of parking on our you tube channel. There is also free on parking on one side of Castle Street. Both parts of the beach are a 2 minute walk away.. The renowned castle Street fish and chips and Calwaders ice cream shops are at the end of the street. The high street with a variety of shops, pubs and takeaways is only a 5 minute walk away. There are convenience stores a butcher and a bakery. Everything you need is right on your doorstep. Larger supermarkets can be found at Porthmadog or Pwhelli which are both a short drive away. Other things to note Please note- we require completion of a customer registration form for all of our bookings. This will be sent by email after booking. This ensures that you are happy with our terms and conditions which include our house rules. Cottage Rules Most of these rules are common sense so apologies if they may seem a little patronising! 1. Enjoy your holiday, have fun and relax!!! 2. Please respect our neighbours and the local area. We are very lucky to have some lovely neighbours please respect them by keeping noise to a minimum especially later in the evening and early in the morning. Criccieth is a beautiful place to be please look after it, bring your rubbish home! 3. No smoking or lighting candles. 4. Breakages- accidents happen! We would rather you tell us about any breakages so that we can ensure items are replaced for the next visitors. 5. Dogs- we would prefer dogs not to be left unattended. If they ae left and any damage is caused as per our terms and conditions, we reserve the right to charge for such damage accordingly. Dogs are not allowed upstairs and if on furniture please protect it with your own blankets. Please ensure the garden is kept free from dog mess and we would really appreciate it if you could put your dog waste in the local public bins when out and about as our bins are only emptied once every three weeks. 6. Please use coasters and placemats for food and drink (placemats for dining room are on bookcase). 7. Please help us conserve energy by turning off lights etc when not needed 8. Windows- windows do open (apart from on the landing). Please take great care they are very old windows. The secondary glazing will need to be opened first. Please ensure downstairs windows remain shut when not in the property. 9. On departure please ensure that the cottage is left as you would wish to find it as far as possible. Please empty bins and strip any used bed linen and places in bags provided (or put by washing machine)
