Spurfield Barn with valley views

Take a deep breath and enjoy beautiful valley views from our charming eighty year old barn. The space The interior space was recently described as ‘like a big hug’. There’s a super comfy queen bed, a study nook, a large daybed in an alcove, a cosy fireplace, a kitchenette, a shower over a claw foot bath, an outside composting toilet and washbasin, an elevated timber deck and courtyard. It's well insulated; there's a ceiling fan, and the windows are screened so you can enjoy cross breezes. There’s no designated Wifi but good Telstra mobile coverage. The other networks aren’t so strong. We have a mini dachshund, some Guinea fowl, and lots of birds that call the garden home. When the large native fig tree is fruiting, nocturnal bats feast noisily. Our country barn comes with all the joys of nature. SINGLE NIGHTS AVAILABLE While most bookings are two nights minimum we do accept single nights on Sunday. Guest access You're welcome to take walks around the 2 hectare property which includes our (newish) garden and the back paddock. We suggest you're always mindful of little critters, and maybe even snakes. The joys of country living! Our Guinea fowls, and sometimes a family of wallabies, can often be seen grazing on the lawn early in the morning. Other things to note We'll leave tea, coffee, milk, a few slices of home baked sourdough, butter, spreads and fruit in case you like a lie-in. The back of the barn is still used for garden storage so occasionally you’ll hear us accessing this area. You’re sure to meet Molly Mouse, our mini dachshund.
