This unique house is a hop, skip and a jump from everything Chester offers. The space A beautifully refurbished and surprisingly spacious two bedroom Victorian house, right on the banks of the River Dee, with superb views and lots of privacy, Chester River terrace contains a wonderful mix of period features and stylish luxury. Downstairs, the lounge, complete with SkyGlass TV and corner sofa leads to a dining and sitting area with comfy sofa bed for extra guests and shelves containing all manner of interesting books. The quirky kitchen at the back, benefitting from a two-storey atrium which floods the house with light, opens up to a private, walled garden which can be lit up at night to create a truly magical environment. Upstairs, the modern bathroom contains both bath and shower. Two bedrooms look out over the River Dee at the front and Grosvenor Park, via the atrium, in the twin bedroom at the back. White Company bedding and a quirky mix of old and new decor make both bedrooms unique. Beds are extremely supportive and comfortable and are dressed with anti-allergy duvets and pillows. No excuse for anyone NOT to try them out! Guest access - Guests are free to use the whole house and front and back gardens which are both private. - One parking space in the driveway directly in front of the house is included automatically in the booking; two are available on request. - No pets are allowed. - Please note that the stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom are quite steep but have a rail all the way up. Other things to note It’s very difficult to put into words the special quality this house has. Everyone who walks in uses the WOW word and expresses amazement at the spaciousness contained in what is essentially a Victorian terrace. The atrium at the back of the house provides wonderful light throughout the property and the Host has endeavoured to combine old and new in the design to provide a more than comfortable experience. Finally, if you enjoy being outside, this house provides sun in the morning at the front, where you can sit out and watch the boats cruising up and down the Dee; in the evening, there is sun in the walled garden until about 7pm and in darkness, the garden can be lit to create a wonderfully ambient space. Within close walking distance there are two cafes, two pubs and the gastronomic delights of Chester’s multitudinous restaurants within a five minute walk. This really is a perfect location for a holiday!
