Benvenuti! Welcome to our Casa d’Italia on The Hill! Our home is the perfect spot to explore the Italian neighborhood on foot or enjoy the quick and easy access to the highways to get to all things St. Louis. The house is just a 1/3 mile walk to restaurants like Shaw Coffee, Charlie Gitto’s & Carnivore. We are less than a 10 minute drive to all that Forest Park has to offer including the zoo, science center, art museum and history museum as well as Barnes and Children’s hospitals. The space Enter to a spacious open kitchen and living area with a queen sleeper sofa, TV and plenty of seating. Several windows keep this space light and airy. Our large kitchen has all of the essentials and tons of cabinet space. Enjoy food and drinks at the beautiful sparkling white quartz bar or at the kitchen table. Pass through the kitchen/dining area to the large bedroom with comfy queen bed and plenty of storage in the dresser and walk in closet. There is a writing desk for quiet work or TV for entertainment. To the rear of the bedroom is the laundry room & full bathroom. From the back door, enter the outdoor sanctuary with privacy fence. There is plentiful free on-street parking in front of the house. Guest access You will have access to the whole house and fenced yard. The basement is locked for owner use only and is only accessed by an exterior door, however you will receive the code in case of tornado emergency. The garage is not convenient for guests and therefore not offered. Other things to note Our home is located in the section of the Hill north of I-44 that was divided by the highway in the 1970s. The footbridge over the highway takes you to the best restaurants, shops, cafes, etc in about 1/3 of a mile walk from the house. The footbridge is quite noisy (though our kids think it's very fun!) so a very brief drive across the highway is another alternative to reaching the main area of the Hill. Hill residents are known for riding their golf carts through the neighborhood. We have a Ring camera on the exterior of the front and back doors. These may not be in use of not requested by the renter.
