Description

Our dog friendly cabin is ideally situated across the road from the lake, beach, and Gar Woods restaurant. Easy walk to mini golf, coffee shop and watersports, breakfast dining, and bistro. Located between Tahoe City and Kings Beach. A great location for skiing, hiking, walking, fishing, biking, or just relaxing by the lake. Open plan living, dining, kitchen area upstairs with views of the lake. A fully fenced yard. 4 bedrooms with 5 beds that comfortably sleep 8 people, and 3 full bathrooms. The space The new Beadle family cabin, completed in 2022, replaced a single bedroom cabin in much need of repair, dating from 1945. Peter and I have been owners here since 2009 and are pleased that our home is now large enough to comfortably host family, friends, and their pets in this lovely area. We are happy to share this space with Airbnb guests when we are not able to be in Tahoe. An open plan living area is above the garage with a vaulted ceiling, seating area with gas fire and flat screen tv, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining area. The patio door leads to a balcony, with outdoor seating in summer, and stairs leading down to a fully fenced yard. There is additional outdoor seating downstairs, a picnic table, and a BBQ with extra propane. Two bedrooms are upstairs, with a separate bathroom off the hall. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, flat screen tv, and ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 overlooks the back yard and has a queen bed and flat screen tv. Two further bedrooms are downstairs, and there is a separate bathroom with tub and shower over. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed, tv, and patio door to the fenced yard. Bedroom 4 has bunk beds (XL twin over queen), flat screen tv, and a table and chair to use as workspace. Heating is underfloor hydronic with six zones. There is no air conditioning in the cabin, but every room has a ceiling fan to help with hot summer days. Washer and dryer is located in the laundry room. Paper goods and cleaning supplies are in utility room cupboard. In the upstairs hall, there is a wall mounted Dyson type vacuum cleaner with parts in the bottom drawer of the hall cupboard. A fire extinguisher is located on each floor. The cabin has Wi-Fi and a telephone for outgoing calls. There are Board and Card games, Jigsaw Puzzles, Bocci ball, Corn toss, and books, for your entertainment. The cabin 'library' is held in the credenza in the lounge. Guests are welcome to start reading then take books home to finish. The garage has parking for 2 cars and the driveway has off-road parking for an additional 2 cars. In winter the driveway and path to the front door will be plowed once a day when snow accumulation reaches 4 inches. Power outage: Cooker is gas but automatic pilot light will not work. Matches are in the drawer near the cooker. Gas fire has battery backup so will still work. The pine cabinet in the upstairs hall holds additional pillows and blankets if needed. Top drawer has flashlights, first-aid kit, and sewing kit. Bottom drawer contains attachments for the wall mounted cordless vacuum cleaner. Bedding is provided for 5 beds. If you require more, please bring sleeping bags/sheets to cover your needs. Towels are provided for 8 people (plus extras in bathrooms). Do not leave pets unattended outside. Shut and lock doors and windows when you are not around. Please keep the outside gates (to back yard and top of stairs) closed when not in use to prevent damage by storms.
