Our home is about a 5 minute walk to restaurants and shops on main st. VMI is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive. Quiet neighborhood surrounding. Private backyard with a deck and dining set. Newly remodeled bathroom and kitchen. Casper foam queen mattress with bamboo sheets. Pets allowed. Fenced in back yard. New washer/dryer just installed! The house is equipped with a keypad for easy access. The code is supplied the day of check in. You walk through the front door into the spacious dining room which opens to the living room featuring a couch/chaise and large flat screen TV. The bathroom is newly remodeled with a waterfall shower head and detachable sprayer. The hallway opens to the large back bedroom (there is no bedroom door). There is an office space in the bedroom and a comfy queen Casper mattress with cotton sheets. The kitchen is newly remodeled with new cabinets, quartz counters, large sink, LED lighting and open shelving. Brand new washer and dryer as well. The back yard is pretty large and fenced. The fence is old but intact and our 65lb dogs love to roam the space. We do allow pets with a fee. There is a dog door that you can open to allow your pup to freely come and go. There is a decent sized back deck. No grill currently. The neighbor hood is quiet despite the busy road. Our neighbors are wonderful and friendly. They help keep the area safe. They will report any suspicious behavior. We do not allow parties at this house. There are black out curtains in the bedroom to help you sleep in. The walk to downtown is less than 5 minutes and the restaurants and shops are super cute. The space comfortably sleeps 2 in the bedroom. We do have a twin air mattress and the couch is comfy if you need extra space, but we do not advertise for more than 2 since it would not be the most comfortable and there is not a door to the bedroom. Just let us know if you need anything extra and we can make it work. Lastly, we do live in this space part time when we work at the local hospital (just past the back yard). What this means is that we have our clothes in the dresser, our condiments in the fridge and our food in the cabinets. We are happy to have you use our spices and condiments if that helps make your stay better, but just be respectful of our things so that we also have a comfortable stay when we arrive. If you use something of ours, just let us know so that we can replace it. There should always be some laundry detergent and dryer sheets so feel free to use it if you need it (again, just let us know if we need to replace something that gets used up). We love this little space and it works well for us part time. I hope it works well for you too. Please let us know what you will need during your stay and we can try to accommodate. Everything except the master closet (it will be locked). We are available by text or phone call but we live an hour away. Our neighbors are wonderful and very observant. They help make this area safe, and will report anything concerning. It is a quiet neighborhood. We are super close to downtown which makes most of what you would need walkable. There is parking in the driveway and on the street. You may see our personal things around the house as we do live there part time. We just ask you to respect our things. If you need something, just ask, we may already have it there and are happy to share!
