Completely secluded yet only a 5-minute walk from West St Leonards Station—it's the perfect, peaceful coastal escape. The space Welcome to our serene seaside cottage — a peaceful hideaway where I, as an actor and writer, often retreat to escape the city and enjoy some uninterrupted time to write, think, and recharge. This is a place designed for quiet, creativity, and total relaxation. The Space: The cottage is full of character — cosy, stylish, and beautifully decorated with wooden floors, thoughtfully chosen artwork, and a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout. While we adore the decor, we kindly note that the home is better suited for adults rather than young children due to its delicate design details. Upstairs features a brand new, soft light grey carpet and crisp white walls. It’s a quiet sanctuary with a beautifully appointed bathroom offering breathtaking views down the coastline — perfect for a long soak in the bath or a refreshing shower with a view. There’s a charming dining room with an original farmhouse table, ideal for long dinners or as a peaceful workspace. At the back of the house, a second spacious room overlooks the sea — a perfect spot to work, read, do yoga, or simply relax on the sofa and listen to the birds and ocean outside. Outdoor Spaces: The garden wraps around three sides of the cottage and offers panoramic views of the coast and stunning garden full of flowers. Multiple outdoor seating areas make it perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, lunch, or evening glass of wine. One of the highlights is a custom-built outdoor sauna overlooking the sea — enjoy a peaceful sauna session after a walk down to the beach, which is just a five-minute stroll away. The garden is completely private and not overlooked — your own slice of paradise. Bedrooms & Amenities: There are three small but beautifully cosy guest rooms, each with a small double bed. With two bathrooms — one on each floor — and generous shared spaces, the house offers a sense of privacy even when shared. It’s spacious yet intimate, and you’ll often feel like you have the place to yourself. You’re welcome to bring your bike — there’s space to store it in the front porch. The coastal cycle path is easily accessible and makes for a stunning ride. Nearby, you’ll find the Hastings Nature Reserve, an absolute gem for walkers and nature lovers. Whether you’re looking for adventure, inspiration, or total stillness, this place offers it all — or nothing at all, if that’s what you’re after. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: We only started Airbnbing our home in August 2025. Up until this time we had only let it to friends and family. There is parking down the street as the road is a private lane so cars can't have access. It is not ideal for any disability access.
