Room + own shower and toilet, breakfast included

Our house is located in the old Eastern Docklands, famous for its modern architecture. From your room you have a wonderful view over the IJ, the historic waterfront from where 400 years ago ships set sail to Brooklyn NY, Capetown SA or Deshima Japan. There is a double bed for you and a separate couch to chill on. Outside there is a bench to enjoy your view even more! Very quiet at night, but only 15 bus minutes away from the centre! Breakfast is included and we don't charge cleaning cost. The space Your room is on the ground floor and has two doors that open directly on to the street. The room is located next to the front door so can you can come home anytime you like without having to disturb others. Besides your own bathroom and toilet there is a tv, a Sonos sound system for music, a fridge, a watercooker, a Nespressomachine and a microwave at your disposal (in case you'd like to prepare you're own food). Each morning we will serve you a small breakfast around eight. If you like to have breakfast earlier, please say so. In front of your room there is a bench on the quay where you can enjoy your breakfast or have a glass of wine or beer in the evening. We have lots of information available for you: maps and guides, restaurant tips etc etc. A very good site with lots of information about what's going on in Amsterdam is 'iamsterdam' . You really should take a look there before your arrival. But in case you want some special information, please let us know. This area is very quiet so you can have a good night sleep. But within 15 minutes you are in the middle of the center by bus or tram. We are easy accessible by public transport. If you come by car, you have to realize you have to pay for parking within the city of Amsterdam, so also in our street. We advise people who come by car to park at the Park and Ride Zeeburg. We're perfectly willing to help you discover Amsterdam. Do not hesitate to ask us anything, we'll be around quite often. If we are, come and have a drink upstairs. Other things to note We have two grandchildren, a girl of ten years old and a boy of eight. We take care of them at least once a week. They can be a bit … what shall I say 😅 Due to the energycrisis and the war in Ukraine we have adjusted the thermostate in our house and set it at 18 degrees Celsius at night between 10pm and 8am and at 20,5 degrees during daytime.
