Room in Private Suite on River - 25 min from PDX

Riverfront access, fire pit, comfy beds, and more. In warmer months this is the perfect spot to spend all day outside swimming, grilling, and playing corn hole. Winter brings over 40 identified PNW species to our backyard, great for birding, and nothing beats strolling through Camas' charming shops with a warm cup of tea in the winter. So many choices for epic hiking adventures, as well. The space **The guest suite does not have a full kitchen with cooking surfaces. There is a small kitchenette. The kitchenette area has a microwave, water cooler/heater, coffee maker, toaster, full-sized refrigerator/freezer, plates, bowls, and flatware. We have your hot-beverage needs covered with complimentary coffee, non-dairy coffee makings and a variety of tea. There are no additional items for preparing food inside the unit at this time other than the ones listed. We do offer an open fire grilling area outside.** If you are flying in; PDX airport is a short 20-minute drive. There are a hand full of quality restaurants in town, and the grocery store is a 5-minute drive away. We save you some time from scrolling through yelp and reviews by supplying insider info on hikes and nature areas within an hour from our location. If hikes aren't your thing, we've got you covered with info on local shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafes that come highly recommended and are only a 5 to 7-minute drive into town. Outside, you can take a walk down by the riverbank. We like to look for animal tracks, agates, or cool artifacts that have washed up. You can always grab a reclining lawn chair and spend some meditative time by the river. It's the best way to recharge! Feel free to light up the outdoor fire pit. Perfect for barbecuing, s'mores, or just hanging out. The gazebo overlooks the river and is furnished with a bar table and bar chairs. Access to your private room is available through a private door with a keypad code. There are 9 stair steps that lead down to the guest level. This rental includes 1 private bedroom with closet and drawer space, comfortable queen size bed, and light-well windows that provide adequate natural light. The room has it's own lock and key. There will be guests in up to two other private rooms and the following spaces will be shared: Bathroom – Shower, double sink countertop, bright vanity lighting, hair dryer, and, of course, a toilet. We keep the shower stocked with cruelty-free body wash, shampoo, and conditioner just in case you didn't bring yours. We got you. Kitchenette – Microwave, water cooler/heater, coffee maker, toaster, refrigerator/freezer, plates, bowls, and flatware. We have your hot-beverage needs covered with complimentary coffee, non-dairy coffee makings and a variety of tea. Living Space – Big screen T.V. with Netflix and Wifi Internet. You're welcome to access your Hulu or other applications via Roku. Additionally, there is a dining area with table and 4 chairs for eating meals, playing games, or for using as a workspace. Laundry Room – Full access to a washer, dryer (including detergent and dryer sheets), ironing board, and iron. The thermostat control is in our living area. We try to keep it at a comfortable temperature, but we know people have preferences. If you would like the temperature turned up or down, contact us and we will be happy to adjust it for you. Our driveway is large enough to accommodate all your parking needs. Guest access You will have access to the fire pit w/ optional grill attachment, gazebo, back porch, back and side yard, riverbank, and the small shed (for river toys and chairs). During your stay We live in the upper area of the house and will meet you at check-in to provide keyless entry codes, room keys, and give you a short tour. After other guests check out at 11 am, we pop in to wash linens and clean up the rooms. All outdoor areas are shared with us and other guests. Other things to note The yard and river bank is a shared space with us and any family or friends we may have over. This includes any dogs they might bring.
