Kick back and relax in our retro cottage. The house is a former 1940s store front for the old apple orchard, and it has been remodeled to be a fun vacation spot that we also use regularly. Soak up that country feel while being close to downtown shopping and restaurants. You will have easy access to the Royal Gorge, rafting, climbing, hiking, and biking. The space has a great outdoor area that is decorated with local art. Sit on the front patio and enjoy watching the sunrise over the mountains. After a day of exploring, you can cook at home with a well stocked kitchen and updated appliances or check out our nearby local recommendations. The space sleeps four. Guests can enjoy the large one-bedroom with a queen-size bed and a cabin-style futon in the living room that can be pulled out (extra linens, pillows, etc are in the bedroom closet). There is a covered outdoor space decorated with lighting at night and a privacy fence. Washer/dryer are in unit and laundry pods are provided. There is a full bath with a bathtub and shower, and necessities like body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided. The space is heated and cooled with a mini split system, and there are also two space heaters if needed on those extra cold nights. Our family uses the home often, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Guests have the entire property to themselves. The cottage is the only house on the property. No need to worry about keys during your stay! (Great if you are planning a rafting trip) Both doors are updated with a keyless smart lock system. We are here to help and support our guests! One of our favorite features of the cottage is that it is located in safe, quiet neighborhood with lots of local charm. We love to take walks with our dog and baby on the dirt road. The house is a five minute drive to downtown and the train depot. Great location for biking into town or to the Arkansas River Walk. There is lots of parking right in front of the cottage, so you can drive around the city and to the Royal Gorge. There are a couple EV charging stations at 420 Main St, Canon City (north side of Hwy 50). There is also one EV charging station at Pueblo Community College - Fremont Campus in Canon City.
