The space This beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bath bungalow has been smartly remodeled and is ready to welcome you with great views, an amazing covered private boat dock with spacious decking ready for your boat or swimming activities seasonally and awesome access to Lake Chickamauga! Located in a quiet neighborhood between two boat launches (approx. 1 mile each direction) the home is welcoming and stylishly comfortable. Our goal is that each guest feel like the first to stay in our home! Sitting well to the back of the property on over a 1/2 acre the home feels private, situated among mature trees. Want to bring your friendly family dog along? Just contact us for prior approval. The large great room area overlooks Lake Chickamauga/TN river with a wall windows to enjoy the wonderful water and mountain views. In fact, every room in the house provides a view of the water! A 10x16 deck off the back of the house invites you to enjoy your morning coffee, sharing meals with family or friends, or a glass of wine at the end of the day. Two cozy bedrooms with queen sized beds mean a good night’s sleep. 2 twin sized pop up beds are also available, if needed. Full bathroom has a tub/shower combo. A 2nd full bathroom is located adjacent to the laundry area with a stand up shower. Lots of comfortable seating in the expansive great room with a 65" Smart TV and 43" Smart TV in one bedroom with basic local channels and subscription services. Fiber optics and WiFi for all your connectivity needs. A desk with a lamp is provided in case you have to checkin with work during your stay. Seating for 6 at the dining table. A fireplace with wood burning insert and plenty of firewood means cool weather trips are cozy and inviting. A short walk down the concrete path takes you to the private covered boat dock and sun deck. There’s even a step-down area for getting in/out of the kayaks or letting your little ones enjoy splashing in the water. Shoreline seating is complete with camp fire area for enjoyable evenings. Enjoy a quiet cup of coffee on the bench swing or swing bed on the dock before the day’s activities begin. Fully equipped kitchen provides everything you'll need for preparing meals while here. Gas grill (gas provided) is ready for your favorite steak just out the kitchen door. Plenty of parking vehicles with trailers in the U-shaped driveway means easy in/out with boat trailers. 2 local boat launches, one mile upriver and downriver, mean you can arrive by boat mid April to early October. Average water level April to Oct is approximately 2 ft at the shoreline to 5 1/2 ft at the end of the dock providing plenty of boat docking access seasonally. (No year round water access at the dock). 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards plus life jackets are also ready and waiting for your enjoyment. While lake levels drop Oct to April affecting use of the dock, the boat launches and lake use are available year around. We appreciate you understanding our need to review the personality of your pet to ensure a good fit with our home. This rural location is conveniently located to Dayton (fishing tournaments) Athens, Cleveland, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Gatlinburg. Guest access You'll have the whole property to yourself. Other things to note We do require a signed Rental Agreement prior to booking. Dock is generally available for use April to October. We are not responsible for Lake Operators fluctuating lake level. Use the TVA app to review water levels at anytime. There are only a couple steps up into the house, but there is a sloping walkway down to the lake and dock area. It's not a long walk, but it can seem a bit steep for some. Furnishings are regularly updated/replaced to ensure guest comfort. Pictures do not necessarily reflect the current furniture.
