Watergate Cottage is a charming cottage, found in the heart of Swimbridge, close to the pub, a timber play park and endless country walks. You will be perfectly placed to enjoy all that North Devon has to offer - beautiful beaches, charming towns and the wonders of Exmoor and beyond. The cottage will have everything you and your guests need for the perfect, most relaxing getaway and your host Roisin will be at your disposal as much or as little you need The space The gorgeous, quaint cottage and adjoining gardens are for you to enjoy exclusively. A modern come rustic extension was completed in October 2021 and adds space, class and comfort to the property with the addition of a new master bedroom with reclaimed exposed wooden beams; a stylish ensuite and separate space for wardrobe and chest of drawers. Downstairs the extension has created an extremely spacious kitchen complete with range cooker;built in dishwasher; island with three stools and a comfortable three seater sofa. There is a boot room adjoining the kitchen which gives access to the house from the driveway. The existing property is full of quirk, character and stylish furnishings and decor. The large open-plan lounge contains a farmhouse style table; a comfortable corner sofa; smart TV and log burner. Upstairs you will also find the second bedroom with a double bed with views of the surrounding hillside and next door is the main bathroom with an enclosed shower; WC and separate bath with a shower head hose. Back downstairs the bifolding doors open the house for indoor-outdoor living and from here you can enjoy the patio furniture and look out at the hillside and characterful cottage garden beds. A short walk up the garden takes you to our “secret garden” which is where you’ll find the fire pit; a BBQ; and hammock from which you can enjoy views from the shade of the apple tree out to our small meadow.
