There are two local hiking trails: The Cross-Rivendell and Appalachian Trails; two large lakes: Lake Fairlee and Lake Morey.This house was the original one-room schoolhouse converted into a residence. A bit off the beaten (paved) path, yet five miles to the closest store. We have local hiking: The Cross-Rivendell and Appalachian Trails and we have two large lakes close by. Foliage season, farmer's markets and acclaimed theatre are available throughout the Fall along with local beer-fests. Most of all, we have one of the most stunning foliage seasons in the country! We are located just two and a half hours from Boston and four hours from NYC. Hanover NH (Home of Dartmouth College) is only a 25 minute ride.
