With 1,500 sq. ft. of living space, this home comfortably accommodates families and friends while offering the perfect blend of relaxation, convenience, and beach-town charam. Enjoy a quiet location just steps from the Intracoastal Waterway and less than a mile from Oak Island’s beautiful south-facing beaches. Located near Middleton Avenue and Oak Island Drive, you’ll be close to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping while still enjoying a peaceful getaway away from the busier areas of the island. The outdoor spaces are designed for making memories. With parking for up to 8 vehicles, plenty of storage for kayaks, canoes, and beach gear, and beach chairs and toys provided, getting ready for a day in the sand is easy. After your beach adventures, rinse off in the outdoor shower, relax on the upper deck with your morning coffee, enjoy dinner and games on the huge screened porch, or gather around the custom stone fire pit under the stars. The fully fenced 6-foot backyard is perfect for kids and pups to play. Inside, the fully equipped kitchen is ready for everything from quick breakfasts to family dinners. Enjoy brand-new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, farmhouse sink, reverse osmosis filtered drinking water, and plenty of cookware, dishes, and storage. Coffee lovers will appreciate the 14-cup coffee maker, French press, espresso maker, bean grinder, and ample mugs. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area creates a comfortable gathering space for the whole group. Relax with the 65” Smart Roku TV, stream your favorite shows, enjoy music through the Bluetooth stereo, or gather around the table with room for up to 10 guests. Books, magazines, and board games are available for laid-back evenings at home. High-speed 1GB fiber internet keeps everyone connected throughout your stay. When it’s time to recharge, choose from three thoughtfully designed bedrooms. The Captain’s Quarters features a king bed, private en-suite bathroom, 50” Smart TV, dedicated desk workspace, and plenty of storage. The Mermaid’s Quarters offers two queen beds, a Smart TV, and room to spread out. The Crew’s Quarters is perfect for kids or additional guests with a queen bed, twin bed, desk, and Smart TV. The updated main bathroom includes a new shower, granite vanity, and hair dryer. Things to Know: Minimum age requirement to rent is 25 years old. Home is elevated on stilts with approximately 15 steps to the entrance. No bathtub; showers include detachable handheld nozzles. Up to 3 dogs are welcome. No cats or other pets accepted. The home sleeps up to 10 guests, but is best suited for 6–7 adults or families with children. Top bunk weight limit is 100 lbs. Washer and dryer available for guest use. Hand soap and dish soap provided. Shampoo, bath soap, and laundry detergent are not provided. Starter supplies of paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, and toilet paper are provided; additional supplies may be needed during your stay. The nearby Middleton bridge may occasionally create traffic noise. White noise machines are provided for added comfort. The Beach Pantry convenience store is less than a mile away for last-minute essentials. Whether you’re spending your days on the beach, relaxing outdoors, or enjoying time together at home, Island in This Dream is the perfect place to experience Oak Island. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property. Other things to note - Minimum age requirement to rent is 25 years old. - Positively NO SMOKING in/around the house, up on the deck, under the house, or in the screened porch. All smoking must be kept to the driveway or the backyard. - This house is up on stilts, 15 steps up. - No climbing or sitting on the railings. - The home does not have a bath tub, but each shower has a detachable nozzle. - Up to 3 dogs are welcome, but no cats or other pets accepted. - Although this home sleeps 10, it cannot sleep 10 adults. Rather 6-7 adults or 4 adults with children. - The top bunk weight limit is 100lbs. - Washer and dryer is available for use during your stay. - Hand soap and dish soap are provided. - Shampoo/bath soap, laundry detergent, and dishwasher detergent/packs are NOT PROVIDED - Some paper towels, garbage bags, and toilet paper provided to get you started, but you may need more during your stay. - Please bring your own beach towels. The white bath towels are for at-home use only - do not bring them to the beach. - The Middleton bridge is close by, so you may hear the occasional truck or trailer. A white noise machine has been provided to make your sleep more peaceful. - The Beach Pantry is a convenience store less than a mile from the house for any last-minute needs.
