Each bedroom has brand new mattress, pillows, high quality sheets, and Roku TV. Lake level down for maintenance from Oct '22 to spring of '23. Well equipped kitchen, including Instant Pot, blender, griddle, Keurig and coffee pot. Decent knives! Plenty of dishes, utensils, baking pans, and cooking tools. There is a nice boat ramp and room to park your boat trailer. One stand-up paddle board, corn hole, ping-pong, pool table, hammock, and board games. This is our happy place, it's a quiet, dead-end road, with mostly retired neighbors. This is a perfect place for a relaxing family vacation, a fishing trip, or a quiet getaway. If you're looking for a place for a party, reunion or large get-together, this isn't the place for you. We expect our guests to respect our home and our neighbors. If at anytime we feel like this is not happening, your stay will be terminated. We do not allow pets at this property. No smoking. Please do not park in the grass due to irrigation system. We will send a standard rental agreement via the messaging system after inquiry. You will have access to the entire house, except for a couple of owner's cabinets and the hall closet. There is a large garage that you can use for storing coolers, and lake toys you might bring, etc. but the ping pong table takes up one bay, and cornhole and paddleboard are in another bay, so there isn't room to park your car. We live nearby and are available through the Airbnb app during the daytime and early evening hours should there be any issues during your stay. The house is on a dead-end gravel road on Lake Murray between the quaint towns of Chapin and Ballentine. There are just 6 houses in the immediate area, occupied by full-time residents who are mostly retired. In addition to deer, rabbits, a couple of heron, ducks, and geese, you'll likely see one or more of the neighbor's dogs zooming across the yard. There are a number of local restaurants within about a 15 minute drive. Grab a maple bacon doughnut and a cup of fresh coffee from Chicken Butt Doughnuts, a handmade burger from Higher Ground Char House, or some seafood on the dock at Liberty Tap House. Gas (regular and marine) and a large convenience store with a hot buffet and packaged food, drinks wine and beer, is 2 miles away at Palmetto Roads. Publix Supermarket is 6 miles away. Dreher Island State Park is about 17 miles from the house by land, or 5 miles by water. University of South Carolina is about 36 minutes. The Town of Chapin is about 6 miles. The Town of Ballentine is about 8 miles. Columbia Metropolitan Airport, 27 miles My housekeepers clean, then disinfect the property after guest checkout. In addition, we keep at least 1 day between guests, and have purchased duplicate linens so that everything is fresh and clean when you arrive. We want you to feel safe and comfortable during your stay. Sunken living room requires one step down from foyer, dining area and kitchen. Illuminated in the dark, but be careful during daytime hours. If you have a toddler, or elderly guests, it might not be suitable. As this is a neighborhood with full-time residents, you may encounter their pets. Fireplace is not usable.
