We’ve created a riverfront getaway for all indoor & outdoor lovers who want to enjoy nature fully, have lots of fun & relax after a long day. All while surrounded by beautiful trees & open fields and overlooking the Ouachita River. You will enjoy your own private swimming area, campfires, or simply relaxing by the river, there is something for everyone! Close to OBU, Henderson State, & local Caddo River drop-off spots. Pets are welcome in with a pet fee, see house rules for more details. What we love about it here is, its riverfront, quiet and peaceful, but also close to all of your basic needs like grocery stores, gas stations, and dining. It’s also close to a couple of Caddo River drop-off locations, Ouachita Baptist University, and Henderson State University making it the perfect location for year-round activities. Our main cabin is a two bedroom, one full bath with a fully equipped kitchen and living room. You will also have access to an additional 500 sf building connected by deck next door, which has a half bath available and some extra space for eating, games, lounging etc. There is an outdoor shower connected to this building making it easy to clean off after a long day at the river. You will also enjoy the private decks on each side of the property, one overlooking beautiful farmland, the other overlooking the Ouachita River. There is also a play area for the kids and a grill/campfire pit- all included right here on the property. Our favorite part though is the private access to a perfect swimming area right on the Ouachita River. Great as a launching or landing spot for kayaking or floating. Fisherman’s dream (no boat ramp available but one nearby). This is one of three cabins in our family, while this particular space is private for our guests we likely will have family (if not us) in cabins up the road. This cabin is currently connected to another cabin you have access to. You will have access to the connecting porch and outdoor shower, along with full access to main cabin, private swimming area and kids play area. There are three other family cabins nearby, if we are not on-site, others likely will be but out of any way to ensure no disturbance to our guests. Your neighborhood is mainly dirt road with a few nearby cabins but very spaced out to feel like you are still out in the middle of nowhere. About a 15 minute (about 5 miles) dirt/gravel road drive from town. We will send more detailed instructions closer to your visit with directions. The swimming area is just that, it is not a boat launch/ramp. Pets are welcome with approval and a non refundable pet fee of $25. We will have regular paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags, but not fully stocked, we recommend bringing extra if you feel you will need more than supplied. Same with bathroom products such as shampoo, soap, etc There is not a washer/dryer on site
