Places to dine are Sharkie’s Seafood, Plantation Smokehouse and Scotchies restaurants. pg7nc Located in The Palms our bedrooms and living room are outfitted with air condition units and ceiling fans for your cool comfort; please note the air conditioning units are controlled by sensors and door must remained closed for units to work. If the door is open the units will shut down. If there is no motion the units will also shut down. The community also has its own "Country Store" there you will find Supermarket, Pharmacy, Deli and Liquor Store for your convenience-opened from 8AM to 8PM unless otherwise stated. We report outages as each occurs. No refunds or compensation will be given for any outages of any utility service that is beyond the Hosts control. We cannot be held responsible for the closure of the pool or gym. We cannot be held responsible for power outage caused by the utility company JPS. Remember this is a self-catering accommodation, we provide the first round of toiletries. Please make provision to stock-up on these (toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags and dish-washing liquid) and other necessary items that you will need to enhance your stay. Bath towels and bed-linens are provided but not replenished. You have access to the washing machine but no dryer is provided; clothes lines are provided to hang clothes out side and clothes pin are all provided to assist you with the laundry. Housekeeping is available during your stay if required at an additional cost of US$65 per day; this includes changing and washing the bed linens and towels and cleaning the floors and bathrooms. This should be requested 48 hours in advance. If you are travelling from the UK take along with you UK or European plug adaptors. This is needed to charge your mobile phones and other personal electrical devices. The sockets here are similar to the USA. If you're from Canada, USA and the Caribbean there's no plug issue to worry about. The AC units are in the three bedrooms and living room. The AC units should only be turned on if all windows and doors are closed, they are controlled by sensors and will shut down. Nearby beaches include but no limited to: Richmond Private Beach is about 6 minutes drive from the property heading towards Ocho Rios. Margaritaville Beach Restaurant and Bar is 35 minutes drive and is well recommended; it is perfect for the entire family, great music and food, it is in Ocho Rios. Flavours Beach is approximately 10 minutes drive heading towards Ocho Rios. Puerto Seco Beach is about 25 minutes drive from the property, heading towards Montego bay, it has great food, amenities and entertainment. You have to pay for entry. The property is 35 minutes drive from Ocho Rios, approximately 1 hr and 30 mins drive from Sangsters International Airport, Montego Bay(MBJ) and 2 hours drive from Norman Manley International Airport, Kingston.
