If you're looking for a 'small-time neighborhood feel' in the midst of a diverse and dynamic city, this is it! Our 'Suite Garage' is located in the eclectic, walkable, and historic neighborhood of South Park, just east of Balboa Park, and 3 miles from downtown San Diego. You're surrounded by a wide variety of local restaurants and shops in our little 'hood' and we aren't far from North Park, Hillcrest, Coronado, the beaches, Mission Bay, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World and other popular spots. The space Custom-built and never used for cars, this is a large, open loft space. Decorated with reclaimed wood from the original 100+ year old garage, it includes a well-equipped kitchen, living and dining areas and a bathroom (shower only) on the ground floor, and a spiral-like staircase up to the bedroom/office. Venting skylights, awning windows, and an oversized ceiling fan provide lots of light and air; you can also open up the garage door to enjoy our amazing weather a little bit more! *PLEASE NOTE: any 'garage' worthy of the name has a purposefully unfinished edge to it - ours happens to be the ceiling! Because of the EXPOSED ROOF JOISTS, the standing height in the upstairs loft area varies from a min. of 5' 2" to a max. of 6' 9". Guest access The Suite Garage is located at the back of our lot, behind our house and down a driveway we share with our friendly neighbors. Two sets of gates separate you from the street, so you have a feeling of privacy while you are at 'home.' Access to the Suite is provided by keyless entry. There is a small deck attached to the garage. Other things to note Our unit is located in a popular urban neighborhood. Neighbors are nearby; please be considerate. Also, due to recent changes in the city's municipal code, parties are not permitted and we appreciate you observing quiet hours from 10pm - 8 am.
