In the heart of Svanninge lies the old forge, which was active from 1490 until 2003. The old stable where the horses were shod and the hayloft became an office for an electrician company in 2003. In 2022, it has all been converted into a 110 sqm holiday apartment with a new kitchen and bathroom. The space The apartment contains an entrance, living room, extra bedroom with curtains in extension of the living room. Stairs to the 1st floor which contains a bedroom, kitchen with dining area and bathroom. 1st floor bedroom with double bed and 2 single beds on the ground floor. There is a TV in the living room, where the only option is Chromecast. The kitchen is fully equipped, but there is no dishwasher. There is private parking and space for bicycles and part of the large old garden may be used. Guest access There is a private entrance from the yard. Other things to note The beds are made up on arrival and towels, dishcloths, hand soap and dish soap are for free use. There are no beach towels, so you have to bring your own. You have access to the courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue. The apartment is located on the small village road through Svanninge. My husband and I have moved from the French Alps to the Funen Alps, where there is some of the most beautiful nature for hiking and cycling. We took over a fantastically renovated property, and in the spring of 2022, we have even converted part of it into a holiday home. We have taken care of the details and brought back some of the old history, hoping to give our guests the best conditions for a good vacation.
