Cozy "swallow's nest," near Schaalsee

Individually and comfortably furnished apartment for two in a tastefully converted farmhouse with a fantastic garden. Very quiet. Various outdoor seating, depending on the position of the sun and personal preferences. In the middle of the Lauenburg Lake District, 4.5 km to Lake Schaal, 4 km to the nearest swimming area at Lake Piper. 10 minutes to Mölln or Ratzeburg, 30 minutes to Lübeck, 45 minutes to Hamburg and Schwerin. Accessible by public transport. Bus in front of the house. The space The "Schwalbennest" is our youngest "child". We have re-roofed, extended and rebuilt the roof of our beautiful old farmhouse. This is how the "Schwalbennest" was created. A tasteful/cozy and at the same time modern/comfortable little apartment. The exposed beams, the warm wooden floor, the colorful mixed old furniture and the beautiful wooden windows are responsible for the coziness. Modern and comfortable is the bright openness of the apartment, the induction hob, the modern, walk-in shower (with cozy natural slate walls and floor) as well as the best Wi-Fi at the touch of a button (can also be switched off). 2 people have it very spacious here. Several fireplaces and grills can be used in the courtyard. We have chickens, geese, dogs and cats on the farm. You can observe the animals from the farm and enjoy them, but they are far enough away not to disturb the (nightly) holiday rest. Running ducks (big fun makers) run right through the garden. Accessible by bus from Hamburg, Büchen station, Ratzeburg or Mölln central bus station during the week. Since we offer another apartment on the farm ("Cozy Premium Eco Apartment in Resthof") as well as a room ("Cozy, quiet half-timbered room on Resthof"), it is also attractive for several families or small groups. Other things to note Our Resthof is inhabited by 4 generations. Irid and I live in the main apartment on the ground floor, to the front, towards "Alte Dorfstraße 26". My parents, Henriette (86) and Manfred (88), live above us. In July 2021, the apartment for our eldest son Janek, our daughter-in-law Anna and our grandchildren Eliel (5) and Aaron (3) was built in the former hayloft above the threshing floor. Our daughter Jule lives in the old horse stable with her husband Marian and their two children Fion (3) and Madita (1). We have geese, chickens and ducks. A large, deep and beautiful sandpit (in which our eldest already played) delights the children. Overall, the farm with its buildings, open spaces, seating, (fruit) trees, roses, flower and vegetable garden, looks like a small, self-contained world. This world includes liveliness and encounters, but also peace and quiet, the possibility of community as well as retreat and "being for oneself."
