Welcome to KUDUS Bali, a traditional Balinese experience in an authentic “Joglo” – a local wooden house. Nestled in a peaceful rural village, surrounded by the lush rice fields of Sidemen, with breathtaking views of Mount Agung just a short walk away. Located only one hour’s drive from Ubud and Sanur, it’s the ideal retreat to reconnect with nature and local tradition. The space A charming Joglo-style wooden cottage featuring one bedroom and one bathroom. Enjoy a spacious, open-air kitchen equipped with essential cooking facilities, including a stove, kettle, and fridge. We also provide free drinking water, coffee, and tea for you to enjoy throughout your stay. Relax in your private outdoor area with a pool and garden, the perfect spot to admire the sunset or enjoy a meal by the rice fields, right from the comfort of your homestay. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available at Natural View – Wira’s Restaurant, located nearby. Please note that meals are to be paid directly to the restaurant, and it operates independently from our accommodation. (Different business) The cottage is equipped with hot water, Wi-Fi, and air-conditioning for your comfort. Internet We provide high-speed internet to our guests. However, due to our location between mountains and hills, the internet connection may occasionally be unstable. We recommend guests keep their mobile data activated as a backup. Guest access Enjoy the entire cottage with all the facilities. Other things to note Because this is a village homestay, you may encounter insects, lizards during your stay. Don’t worry — this is very common throughout Bali, even in luxury hotels! If you need assistance with cleaning, feel free to call our onsite staff at any time. If you would like to rent a bicycle or motorbike, arrange a hiking tour guide, or book other local activities, simply ask our local family — they will be happy to help organize anything you need. This is not my business but I suggest them. Please note: while our home is truly beautiful and authentic, it is not a conventional “luxury resort” where everything functions flawlessly at all times. As you can see from the photos, our home is very open to nature and the elements. My team and I are committed to addressing any issues as quickly as possible. We are deeply connected to Bali’s unique and vibrant natural environment, and we hope our guests can embrace this, finding peace and healing in its beauty and tranquility. The surrounding fields may vary depending on the season — you might see lush rice paddies, young shoots, or even chili plantations. This is authentic village life, not a curated landscape like Disneyland. The local farmers choose their crops based on their needs and the natural cycles of the land. Finally, please understand that we are not the owners of the village. As such, we cannot control or predict nearby activities like small repairs noise in the area. But currently no big construction around don’t worry. Check-in at 2pm to 9pm at the reception. Enjoy a cup of the local coffee, tea or juice while our staff assists you with the check-in process, and take you to the cottage after. Check-out at 12 noon. If check in later that 11pm we ask extra charge for keep our staff in the reception as we are not a big hotel. Let us know.
