Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located getaway. 15 minutes from Bellingham, 40 minutes from Mt. Baker skiing, our cottage in the country is close to all the activities- but picturesque views of Baker and the Twin Sisters, friendly goats, and a dose of country quiet might just keep you relaxing and hanging out at The Blue Heron all day! 3 acre hobby farm guest house with views. 1 car garage and large driveway. Modern cottage with 1 large bedroom with queen bed and desk area, and 1 bathroom. Great kitchen with several useful appliances such as a large electric frying pan, large toaster oven, instant pot and microwave (does not have stovetop/oven). A small living room with large TV and a comfortable pull out sofa. Outside area has a fountain, table and chairs as well as a fire pit with views of Mt. Baker. There is a nice BBQ that you can use that can be rolled out of the garage. The entire guesthouse and surrounding yard. We are happy to chat and meet you! Otherwise, please enjoy your quiet, private stay. The Blue Heron is located on a 3 acre property, at the end of a dead end street, in a quiet, rural neighborhood, with mountain views. The cottage is a private dwelling next door to the main house. Walk the scenic street with views galore! A car is needed to get around, or call an Uber for a night on the town. Parking includes a garage space, and two + driveway spaces. Let us know if you have a boat or RV, as there is plenty of space to park your toys! Please note that the train occasionally passes through our neighborhood day or night. The noise level from the train is usually minimal and passes quickly - but sometimes they do blow the whistle as they pass. We have two dogs that will initially bark, but are friendly and freely run around our property.
