This sweet little cottage is approximately 400 sq ft, with just about everything you can think of under the roof, for the perfect relaxing weekend away. It is one of seven cottages, all on the same piece of lakefront property. 4 cottages have longterm tenants, and one other cottage is also Airbnb’d (see listing for Hensley’s Cornerstone). Although this cottage sits back further on the property and does not have front-row views of the lake, it is indeed still lakefront property, with a slight view of the lake, and a very small walk, into the backyard, to reach it. All Airbnb guests, as well as longterm tenants, have full access to the backyard and water toys. Such as: kayaks and paddle board. Private fire-pit and patio provide a comfortable outside sitting area with outdoor lights and charcoal grill for some extra added amenities. Wauconda is a modern day Mayberry. Our property is a work in progress! Everything you will need in Wauconda is within walking/biking distance. Or a short car ride away. A rental car is ideal. •• BIG PLUS •• One of the greatest parts about Wauconda, Illinois... is that you’re geographically situated in a location that puts you about an hour from Chicago (in one direction) and an hour from Milwaukee (in the other.) You could easily mix your small town “Mayberry” type vacation, with a little bit of a faster paced “city” experience, as well. Hit Wrigleyville for a Chicago Cubs game. Tour some of the original architecture of the iconic Frank Lloyd Write. Transportation is easy, as Metra Train stations run locally (at all hours until about midnight) and are the most hassle free way to travel to the city. And of course, Uber is just a click of an app away! Can’t go wrong. 😊 This cottage is a studio style, space. Living, kitchen and bedroom are all one room. Bathroom is private with locking door and has an owner’s closet that is strictly for the private use of owner and housekeeping. We are still under slight renovation, and expect to be fully complete by summer. We have reduced the price to reflect the incomplete ceiling and painting projects. It is important to keep in mind, this is a fully lived in cottage. Owner will vacate, for the purpose of your stay. This cottage will be stocked with personal items, such as: food inside cabinets/refrigerator. Clothing in drawers. Toiletries in bathroom. Personal photos, books, and all the things that make a house a home. While we provide a personal space for you to utilize, like empty shelves in cabinet/plenty of room in fridge/places for you to store your clothes, etc… We want to be completely transparent, making sure you are fully aware, this adorable cottage is indeed lived in and very well loved. Think upscale hotel room, with full kitchen and everything needed to cook meals, with little reason to leave your cozy room.
