Nestled in a line of similar cottages on a private road, our cottage has a waterfront fenced yard for your pet(s). Launch your own watercraft at a local marina and enjoy exploring the Trent Canal System. Love to hike? Take a short 15 min drive North or East and explore the Petroglyphs or Warsaw Caves Provincial Parks. The space Whether you're wanting a rejuvenating getaway, visiting family at Lakefield College School, in town for a hockey tournament, or working from home....away from home (with dedicated office table, monitor, and high speed internet), our cottage offers the best of both worlds of relaxation and convenience. It provides a peaceful, natural escape while remaining a short drive from local amenities (e.g. 24-hour grocery, restaurants). Wake up to warm sunrises while you sip on a cup of Joe watching our many early rising wildlife (herons, minks, ducks, swans). Small children can wade in easily with our shallow sandy beach. Our dock may have some lake weeds, but the surrounding Trent system is full of beautiful, clear swimming pockets just waiting to be found. We provide 2x SUPs, 2x kayaks, a canoe, and a 12' aluminum boat so you can easily explore. If you love fishing, Katchewanooka Lake is best known for carp, bass, pickerel and muskie. From playing a game of badminton, cornhole, or washer toss, BBQing and enjoying your meal on our waterfront patio or hanging out by the firepit roasting marshmallows on a clear starry night - there's a lot to do at our little cottage!
