Beautiful, bright year-round cottage on Katchewanooka Lake! Located 1.5 hrs N of the GTA, 15 mins N of Peterborough, and a short 8 mins N of Lakefield. Nestled in a line of similar cottages on a private road, our cottage has a waterfront fenced yard for your pet(s). Launch your own watercraft at a local marina and enjoy exploring the Trent Canal System. Love to hike? Take a short 15 min drive North or East and explore the Petroglyphs or Warsaw Caves Provincial Parks. The space Whether you're wanting a rejuvenating getaway, visiting family at Lakefield College School, in town for a hockey tournament, or working from home....away from home (which we've got you covered with a dedicated office table and monitor and high speed internet). Wake up to warm sunrises while you sip on a cup of Joe watching our many early rising wildlife (herons, minks, ducks, swans). Small children can wade in easily with our shallow sandy beach. Although swimming is not ideal off our dock due to lake weeds, take the paddle boards into deeper water and enjoy jumping off your personal water raft. Guests will have access to our 2x paddle boards, 2x kayaks, canoe, and 12' aluminum boat to explore the Trent waterway and see the beauty this area has to offer. If you love fishing, Katchewanooka Lake is best known for carp, bass, pickerel and muskie. From playing a game of badminton, cornhole, or washer toss, BBQing and enjoying your meal on our waterfront patio or hanging out by the firepit roasting marshmallows on a clear starry night - there's a lot to do at our little cottage!
