We can't wait to host you in this spacious, well-appointed 1950s brick ranch just 10 minutes from downtown Durham and Duke University Campus and Hospitals or 20 minutes from UNC. Tastefully decorated with a touch of whimsy, the space is light-filled and calming with a peaceful backyard (fully fenced!) and screened back porch with comfortable outdoor furniture. The quiet home office is perfect for remote work. Get comfy and stay a while; you’ll like it here! The space The home has three bedrooms, but we’ve set up the third room as a quiet, dedicated office with a view of the backyard – perfect for keeping up with work behind a closed door during your stay. The primary bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and upon request, we’ll gladly set up a queen-sized air mattress in either the living room or the office, whichever you prefer. The kitchen offers everything you’ll need to prepare meals and enjoy them at the large dining room table that accommodates up to six. One important note about this property is that the bathroom is small – the narrowest passageway is 24 inches wide – so it may not be suitable for people who require more space for accessibility. The lovely deck and screened-in porch offer a nice place to unwind and watch sunsets and enjoy the evening firefly show in the summer. There is also a dining table for 4 on the deck! The home is dog-friendly with a fully-fenced backyard for your four-legged friends! We allow up to 2 dogs with payment of the pet fee upon booking. Please inquire about other pets before booking, we may or may not be able to accommodate. The home is in an established neighborhood and offers quiet streets, for lovely walks. You're sure to meet a neighbor or two during your walks, too! If you’re looking for public transportation, you can catch Bus Line 1 just a few blocks from the home for easy access to the heart of Downtown Durham. Guest access You'll have access to the entire home, deck and fenced-in yard. Other things to note We use 100% cotton sheets and duvet covers instead of bedspreads or quilts and ensure that everything is laundered between each guest. If you are traveling with a dog or two, we can connect you with a pre-approved dogwalker should your pooch need extra attention during your stay (for a separate fee).
