Green Ridge Getaway is your perfect basecamp for any adventure. Expansive windows connect the indoor & outdoor space. WIFI, AC, and minutes from the boat ramp at Fisherman's Boat Access make this a perfect choice. Pack your days with adventures in the beautiful outdoors & your evenings relax on our 300 square foot deck, or wander private trails through the aspens to enjoy the views of Henry's Fork & Warm River. The space Some guests have asked why we don't chop down our beautiful aspen trees to make our place more visible, and have a clearer view of the Henry's Fork River. We love GRG tucked away in our acres of aspen trees. Trails have been cleared which take guests down to an area on our property where people can relax and enjoy river views and beautiful sunsets. The interior rooms are open and airy. To keep with the open feel we chose to not have the rooms packed with furniture and beds. Almost all windows have blinds that can be closed, but most guests love the blinds open which makes them feel they are surrounded by trees. We love that NATURE is our decorator. Guest access It is almost easier to address what areas the guests will NOT be able to access. The home is available for guests to access with the exception of 1. Some locked closets. 2. The LOFT area. 3. Garage. Other things to note This information is included other places in our listing, but we think it is a good idea to remind guests----- Green Ridge Getaway is located in a somewhat "remote" area. The "remote" location is the best part of GRG. The closest town is Ashton, Idaho, a 10-15 minute drive. GRG was completed spring 2022. All appliances, etc., were purchased in 2022. Even though everything in the cabin is fairly new, things can still break. Typically if something breaks we are able to get it fixed and/or replaced before the next guest arrives. However, this is not always possible. For example right now it takes 3-4 weeks to get an appliance repairman to come and fix anything in our location. If we are aware a major appliance has broken before a guest checks in we will notify the guest and try to replace the appliance immediately. One more thing to note. Last summer during one guests stay the power went out for approximately a 3 hour period (during the day). We wish we could guarantee the power will never go out. Power can go out anywhere and anytime. We cannot offer refunds if there is an unanticipated power outage. This is stated elsewhere and all hosts in our area should make guests aware. Long before cabins were built in this beautiful part of Idaho this has been the home to an array of wildlife. More than once our exterior camera has spotted bear cubs playing on our front porch. (Mother must be close). At night Moose often wander around the driveway area. Deer, red tailed foxes, mountain lions and a friendly grouse we named Bill (who seems to be unlucky in love) are visitors to GRG.
